Puzzlewoman - I love their fascination with empty boxes, drawers, laundry baskets etc. Beau loves to squeeze himself into a small box and just goes crazy playing with a brown paper bag. Making the bed is sometimes a challenge when Beau decides to "help".

We had a cat at the shelter who was in a roaming room full of boxes and built-in cubbies. She LOVED the cardboard box and spent most of her time in it. The roaming rooms have wall mounted wooden boxes with an open side. Little stairs help them get up there. The front of the box has a door with cutouts of fish and cats, etc. The door can open, but is held shut by a strong magnetic catch.

DebAl -- your Cali has a twin brother living over here! (Gosh, sorry, we are allowed to live here with him.)

The shelter is now off quarantine and I'm going in for my shift today. Really looking forward to it. Lots of cats because they haven't allowed any adoptions during the past 2 weeks.

Cali looks so much like Puck! The creamy tan undertones in the grey tabby markings are precious.
Snickers looks like he’s ready to issue a command. I’m sure it was quickly followed.

She apparently has a lot of Maine Coon. Her fur is longest on her tail and very, very thick all over. she holds the record for hacking up the biggest, nastiest hairball, I think!!! But we love her to pieces anyway, and we are so glad that she lets us live in her house.

crawfish, or do you think lily looks more like puck?

oh my goodness, she really does! I guess I didn’t realize how many grey tabbies had creamy tan fur on their bellies. Puck’s name at the rescue was Cookie Dough, which I thought was so apt.

jaboo..when I went to the shelter there were 2 female and one male siblings in a cage. They were named wynkyn, blynkyn and nodd....its a nursery rhyme but I never heard of it lol. Anyway broke my heart but I could only take 2 so I put a hold on them to come back in 4 hours. Dreaded going back to leave the Male but guess what? In the time I went back he was adopted and gone!! I think you have Nodd!! We renamed them cali and lily. I like calilly flowers.
When i lost my shelly and my matriarch cat kitty before that who looks alot like snickermoms baby girl I was heartsick. I could not come home to my empty house. I did anything but come home so I hung out at the shelter. Lol My kids were grown up and I wanted 2 to keep each other company since they would be alone at times. So I brought my girls home!

FIVE cats adopted from the shelter yesterday. Most were kittens but one was 16 years old. One kitten jumped on his adopter and covered both arms with scratches. And the man adopted him anyway!

She has cat toys that look like wine bottles. This was adorable to me.
You all have the cutest pics and adorable stories, I love them all!

lol, she's my kinda cat, Puzzlewoman. And a cutie, too.
That's great news, Wren! I love hearing about older cats being adopted. When we were ready to add kitties to our house we couldn't consider an older cat because we have a grumpy 12 year old kitty. We wanted to make things as easy as possible for him.
