FF, that is the best article and everything to love for an Anglophile ailurophile: Cat, tradition, history, garden, tea. (By the way, the person who wrote the headlines should not call a dean a vicar, right?)

Hi ShetlandPony (waving). Yes you are right. Honestly the titles get really confusing....and add to that I'm Catholic but my Mum's family come from the Anglican communion (my Mum converted to Catholicism). My Mum spent her working life in ecumenism so surrounded by all sorts! In the Anglican Communion a Vicar is the same as a Parish Priest in the Catholic Church, but in Ireland a vicar is usually called a Rector. The Dean in the videos has been given a special job in a Cathedral, and the Dean title would be more elevated than that of Vicar, so yes they should call him Dean.

Seems a very nice sort of Dean to me-ow! Hug

Hi, Cat Ladies. I am taking Miss Felix to the Vet. She is having a reaction to her thyroid medication.

Thanks for the confirmation, FF. I did learn a thing or two from Anthony Trollope (Barchseter Series filled with characters of various ranks in the Church of England.)

Get well wishes to Miss Felix.

Hi Shetland Bingo love Trollope! (that would make a good name for a cat wouldn't it?!)

Petite, I hope Miss Felix gets the very best of veterinary care. Please God all will be well.

Good morning, Cat Lovers. Miss Felix will be OK. It is an allergy reaction. She was a very good cat at the Vet's. She usually tries to bite and scratch and growl. They took the lid off the carrier and left sitting on her pillow in the carrier. She let the Vet examine her face and was such a sweet cat. She hasn't done that in YEARS.

Here she is in adult form, falling asleep at her post, keeping an eye on the critters and birds through the screen door

she came with a sister who was way too scared to have a personality at the shelter but who has a giant personality now. She was a runt and very standoffish. Now she likes to get under the covers with me in the middle of the night and politely scratches the sheet by my chin or taps my face till I lift the covers up. She also likes me to make water hazards in the bathtub for her to play with, knock over, spill, etc. When I take a bath she will step onto my knee to get closer to the water....

That's so funny! My kitties do that too every day, I swear they know my video conference meeting schedule and plan between them who will cry, who will jump up on my lap etc.

Squeakers sleeps between DH's keyboard and monitor. He decided to put in an appearance during a zoom meeting. I think they can tell they're being left out. I heard of one meeting where someone's dog barked, then another dog barked back and soon they were all barking while the people laughed.

Mine go insane during zoom pilates. They keep joining me on the mat and swiping at my leg as it goes up and down...

Santabarbarian, I love Nadia's enthusiasm for sheets and water hazards. She sounds like a clever kitty.

FF! Wouldn't it be great to name a cat Mrs. Proudie? (The bishop's wife in the Barchester chronicles for these who are wondering.) How about John Bold, Septimus (Mr. Harding), Or Miss Dunstable?

By the way petite1, I have to say that I think Midnight Louie is one of the best cat names ever. So cool.

Kathindc, 'And Charlie be like, "He's behind me isn't he?" ' Hahahaha! Fantastic photo and caption.

Shetlandpony, "Midnight Louie Mysteries" is a series by Carole Nelson Douglas. I was not original, but loved the name. So Louie is named after a crime fighting fictional cat. LOL

Santabarbarian, I love the pictures and the story. Thanks for sharing.

Spookiesmom, The face in the window is priceless

Just proves that kitties get jealous! I know my boys do, if one is on my lap, then the other one is glaring at the lap cat.

Edj3, I have onecat who will actually try to displace the lap cat by sitting on him, but I don’t allow it. Each kitty must have a turn. I am often surrounded on the couch: One on me, one above and behind me, one next to me.

Hi, Cat ladies. Just a little cat story. Last night while we were sitting by the pool, Midnight Louie went into house panther mode. He pulled a big frog out of the pool and happily brought it to Cat Daddy. We were able to recuse the frog. He did not harm it. Luckily it was not a poison toad. (We do have those down here)
