Hughope1, I’m still waiting for my replacement surgery so I can’t help you. I would go see your doc to check it out, don’t wait. I’m sure everything is okay and probably is scar tissue but I tend to be conservative and say go check it out.

My hair continues to grow, actually looks pretty good now and pretty uniform. I’m so jealous though of your curls, I was kind of hoping for that but I don’t think it will happen. Mine is straight, grey and dark - I was a blond, although will admit that was probably due to hair dye the last couple of years.

Eyebrows are coming, do you remember Andy Rooney from 60 minutes, I’m afraid my eyebrows will end up like that.

I hope all are getting better. I go to my presurgery consult this week and will have surgery on 26th. I’m really eager to get this darned TE out, it is so uncomfortable

    MGJ you’re a babe!

Hughope; off to the doc, get that checked. No harm no foul.

Moongirljess, I will wait a little longer and see what happens, eyebrows are just not coming in to well. I too have a vitamixer, I love mine. If it was not for it I would never get my vegetable. Lol.

MAZTAC TE is unconfortable, but now that I have my replacement it is so firm, and where the implant is and my fat tissue was added, "is where I feel the little bump". I see my plastic surgeon on the 10th and I will address this issue. Hopefully it is just scar tissue?

Please call me if you need to talk. 678-877-7588. If you are going to call send me a text message so I know its you. LoL! Damn telemarketing calls have made me stop answering my phone unless it's someone I know.

KWilli, I'm with you girl, Moongirljess is looking good. Hey I keep meaning to ask you if the chemo Taxol affected your sight? I work at computer everyday and my prescription readers are not cutting it now. Doctor had said, that vision should clear up some, so for me to wait till after chemo to get new prescription.

Funny how we all look so much alike now with our new hairdos.

Moongirljess, I love your pictures. I am heading to the beach next Thursday right after chemo.

Chemo, done. Lumpectomy, done. Axillary nodes, gone. Drain finally out. Tattoo and measuring, done. How long is it normal and safe to wait to begin radiation? They say they are working on my plan. I want to get started so I can be DONE. Is there a set timetable? Eyebrows back, hair coming along nicely, eyelashes turn the wrong way but they are there. Feeling pretty good

Benji, great news, sounds like we are all on the mend.

Hughope1, my TE is very hard, PS said implant will be softer. Is it really hard? Hmmmmm

    benji69! Woooohooo! Awesome news!

Hughope1, Xeloda is making them more blurry than taxol did. I also may just be due for an eye exam though

MACTAZ, it is hard enough that if someone goes to hug me I think they will feel it poking them. But at this point I am just thankful to have them both in the same area. Before my reduction was done on the other one, it looked horrible. My new implanted one was back were it was suppose to be, and my one that was waiting for reduction was down around my waist.

Winking now I at least have two boobs in the same area. lol!

Hughope1 I understand completely, same here.

You mentioned your eyesight, mine got worse during chemo, my OC said the same, hold off doing anything for 6 months after. My sight has improved but still slightly worse. I do plan on setting appointment up to have it checked in Kune or July.

Take care, I appreciate your help. After I talk with PS I might send you a message to talk, I just have some concerns at how wide my TE is. I’m going to talk with him but might want to see if you had anything similar. Hugs.

KWilli - glad you had such a good vacation!

Hughope - if the lump you are feeling is right where they did the fat grafting, it is most likely fat necrosis. Harmless, but bring it to the surgeon’s attention. My BS said they can tell on a scan if it’s fat necrosis.

My hair seems to be moving toward curls. Right now it’s just a little wavy and has a mind of its own - it sticks up in random places. My hair was straight prior to chemo. This is from a hike last weekend: image

wanderweg I love your picture girl, wish my hair was that long. I will talk to my doctor about this fat necrosis. Thank you for the good info. xoxoxo

I look at all you girls and think how young you all look compared to me. LoL! I was always told by my daughter that 60 was the new 40, but I am starting to think that 60 is the new 80. I don't see hardly any wrinkles on any of you girls. I lost weight and got a lot more wrinkles, and now I don't eat enough to fill them back in.

    Winking

MACTAZ - The Smoky Mountains are less than an hour's drive from where we live. We're in the foothills.

KWilli - I live in Knoxville, TN and our spring weather is pretty warm. It should be 75 today.

Hughope - Trust me, I have wrinkles! That photo is taken in the sun. I think cancer has skewed how old I feel, whether or not it's changed how I look. I'm 56 and go to bed early these days like an old woman!

My friend's Dad, blowing out the candles some years back at his Birthday, said, "80 is the new dead!"

Benji, will be thinking of you - keep in touch and let us know how your rads are going.

SB, that is funny but I must admit, I like Benji's definition better.

Benji - Best of luck with rads!
