Judy I think it can, by definition I believe the tubile formation is ranked 3 but nuclear grade and mitotic score could be 1. On Nottingham score 3-5 total is grade 1. My ILC was a Nottingham score 6, grade 2. Tubular score 3, no formations found, nuclear grade was 2, and mitotic score 1.

It's very possible. And very lucky. ILC tends to grow more slowly than IDC, etc. so very possible it is grade 1.

Thanks for the replies. I was diagnosed in 2008 grade 1 2.2 cm and 7 positive lymph nodes. I did AC and T then 10 years of arimidex. I worry because I am PR neg high ER. Hopefully the arimidex kicked butt. Some say it works for PR neg others no.Now at 11 plus years I am having scans due to back issues...hopefully just arthritis. I had put it all in the back corner of my mind now the worries are overwhelming agai

Hi Dakrok. The main part of this site has info on stage and grade. Here is a place to start:

Judy, Yes, mine was grade 1. That means it is slow growing and is a plus. Especially since ILC is very sneaky and may be hard to detect. I am almost 5 years on Femara (Letrozole). Have most of you long term ILC survivors doing more than 5 years? My MO said I can stay on longer if I wish. It is like a security blanket. I don't have side effects that hinder my daily life like I did on the other two AIs.

    Take care, Robin

I am stage !B, grade 1. I had double mastectomy in September and I started Lupron and will be starting Letrozole. Grade 1 means grows slow, however, it spread when the guard is down after 5 years.
