I still have some cording from my August 2020 surgery. P.T. gave me the stretches which helped the cording that went from my pecs into my armpits down to my elbows. It took seeing a lymphedema specialist to nearly resolve those though the business she worked at closed - she wrote resolved though they were not - almost tho not. No other L.T.'s in this area except one that doesn't take my insurance. They have gotten even better and are almost unnoticeable (pec and arm areas) if that helps you - keep the stretching up. I still have a thick cord in my diaphragm area she was not able to lessen at all. I've just made friends with it. If it worsens I'll figure something out - it doesn't impede me and it's staying about the same. I'd recommend seeing a lymphedema therapist if your P.T. is not certified - not the same thing otherwise..... Keep us posted on how you're doing!

I have same problem, it started three weeks ago, today is good day it looks better. Lessened little. Im having therapy, need to go 10 times. I was so scared thought it was forever. 😏 They made some tests to be sure. Nobody told me that can happen, thougt it was lymphedema. But Im still going to therapy just in case.

I have extreme cording and my PT will dry needle the bad ones. It helps! Just hurt for a second and it’s done

well I overdid it again in the garden. The cording is extremely painful this time. This is 12 yrs post surgery and 4 yrs post additional radiation due to Mets. I wasn't lifting weights but raking around some trees I wanted to protect from a prairie burn. I can't imagine just waiting it out, though it's been 5 weeks already. Oxycodone has brought some relief. I had scans to rule out more Mets so PT next in hopes she can break it up quickly. Last year a massage therapist at cancer clinic popped it but she isn't certified/ trained. Tried her twice already with no luck.

I'm sure I've had it mild in the past and it resolved itself. I hope nobody else has to suffer with this. Kinda stinks that I can't get a little sympathy from my sister. Her DH has Rhumetoid Arthritis and doesn't treat it. I can't believe it's as bad as this.

    Vargadoll,

how did you find a pt that would do that. Could the sccupuncturust do the same thing?
