I understand what you're writing here. I am thinking the same way. Olivia Newton John fought stage IV breast cancer for 30 years which is amazing; however, I often wonder what her true quality of life was? Not everyone has access to the same health care though and not everyone has the money and resources of a super star. I've seen people have to lose everything just to receive life saving treatment over stage Ibreast cancer. Perhaps 5-10 years means the survivor is still alive in 5-10 years and are no longer followed up after that time frame?
