Congrats Micd! Best of luck with Final Chemo!

I finished radiation today, thank goodness. But my liver enzymes are elevated. My RO is going to help me change my MO for follow up care. If my levels are still up when I meet with her, I might have to have a PET scan. Honestly, I want a break. It has been eight months since that fateful mammogram. Surgery, recovery, chemo, recovery, radiation.

Yay Micd!!! Congrats on the last round!!!
Craftylife- Congrats on finishing rads! One more thing to check off that list of treatment. I hope those liver enzymes are nothing. You certainly deserve a break.

Got the pathology results. TCHP got rid of 90% of the cancer. They did find some micrometases in 1/3 lymph nodes 😔
My Pathology Staging is pT1c N1mi.
Not sure what's next, will have to wait for MO to call me. Guess I'll be switched to Kadcyla and maybe Radiation

Morrigan- I’m so sorry the pathology results weren’t as you hoped, while 90% is awesome, I imagine it’s defeating feeling to have that little left with a micromet in a node. I know I was really upset when I found out I had a macromet in 1/3 nodes taken. I hope your MO contacts you soon and you get a plan set that you’re comfortable with.

Thanks Ajminn

If I am understanding the report of my breast mri correctly, it is all positive. I’m ready to have surgery and get this over with.

Scattered- how exciting! That must feel really good to have a pCr. Onto surgery for you! Checking off those boxes to the finish line

congrats! Sounds like you got a pCR! Hopefully that holds true for the final pathology and they don't find any little surprises. 🙏🏻

Thanks. What's PCR? Lol
Get ready to be disgusted lol. This is what Taxol chemo does. Left foot toe nail might be infected with something. Right foot toe nail is dry and separated from the nail bed.

PCR = Pathologic Complete Response. The Chemo killed all of the cancer before Surgery.

Got it. Thanks.

morrigan_2575, how are you feeling? How's eveything after surgery?
0 -
i feel really good. Ive always done well with surgery but I'm shocked at how well I've handled it.
I haven't needed any pills for pain, other than Tylenol and that was only 2 nights. I have full range of motion, energy, I've pretty much been taking care of myself from day 1. I do my own drains, cook, get in and out bed, take care of the cat, etc.
My drains could have come out on Friday (1 week mark) they were at/under 30cc for 2 days but, the PS wanted to leave them in for the weekend. I have to go back Monday to have the nurse take them out. Which to me is a waste of my time, they were at 19cc each yesterday and will probably end up under 20 again today.
I'm going to get my first fill 7/8. I found a video of how it's done if you're interested.

morrigan_2575, I hope I recuperate like you lol. I saw a video already and it scared me but I have already from others that it doesnt hurt because your breasts will be numb.

Not sure if it's allergies (I have been sitting outside more) or leftover Chemo or HP related but, I've got a runny nose again. LOL
Just started taking Claritin. Hopefully, its just allergies

morrigan_2575, girl, ever since I started Taxol I have a runny, congested, and bloody nose. I'm hoping to go back to normal now that I finished.

Yeah, Taxotere gave me runny/congested nose and, I'm guessing was responsible for the Nose Bleeds as well. That cleared up almost immediately after my last Chemo.
The current runny nose, which started last week is definitely Allergies. I took a Claritin right before my post and it's already cleared up.

morrigan_2575, that's good.

Congratulations dysonsphere and scattered energy! My last Taxol is Thursday July 2 so I am in the home stretch.
This weekend my big toes both hurt and were dark pink underneath like some of the pictures I see of fingernails recently except all dark. I have been icing on Taxol. Does anyone know of other ways to keep from losing nails?
I also had white peach fuzz starting after 7th Taxol which is know turning into silver (sounds so much better than gray, right?) very short hair. Actually hides my scalp on sides.

TxMom3, that's all I know. Two people have mentioned vitamin B but I haven't asked my MO yet. Yesterday I went to the salon to get a pedicure but decided not to put nail polish on them so I can watch them.

i take so many vitamins/supplements now
- B6 and Alpha Lipoic Acid for neuropathyneuropathy
- B7/Biotin for hair/nails
- C for Platelet (don't think it helps)
- Calcium + D
- Iron for anemia
- Multi Vitamin
- Melatonin for sleep

TxMom3, July 2nd is my last chemo too! It’s AC chemo
0 -
anyone else get really emotional on AC? I have my last AC on Thursday and it will also be my last chemo period but I’ve been so emotional today. Literally everything has made me cry all day long and I don’t know w

Hray, I had TC, not AC, but I did have days like you described. My MO was convinced that it was a reaction to cumulative stress. I got a Rx for the lowest dose of Effexor, and it has worked like a charm. Hang in there. You are a courageous person. So strong. You are not alone. Some of us have been there, too. It will get better. Best Wishes.

thank you sweet talker. That makes sense, I am really stressed right now. I have Ativan that I’m on but honestly I haven’t taken it in a few days. This chemo just makes me feel like I’m dying every day. I’m so close to being done but it feels like I’m losing hope. I don’t know why because I’m so close to being done with chemo. I know I can’t give up and I won’t but I just wish none of This ever happened. I know everyone feels that way though

hray1993, I felt like that every day, hence why I had to see a psychiatrist and was given meds. It is the worst chemo.

i would say I've been highly emotional, like on my period emotional since starting Chemo. Not angry or PMS like I used to get just overly emotional, like cry at the drop of a hat over a stupid commercial

hray1993, I felt that way last week when finishing up the Taxol. I'm sure there is a medical reason for it, but I can't imagine finishing up with the AC portion. I was so glad to get that done as the first part of the chemo because it was so difficult. Even so, I can remember feeling that I was sick and tired of being sick and tired during my last round of Taxol. It has been 10 days since my last chemo and I can honestly say that I am feeling better. I can do things now without getting worn out and having to rest the remainder of the day. My stomach is starting to feel better. Unfortunately, I know most of us have to prepare for an upcoming surgery but I am still feeling much better than I have in the last 5 monts. Hang in there!

dysonsphere, me too. It felt strange not going in for chemo this Friday.
