    Hi Dee,

Sorry that you have to move on to something else. Hope the new clinical trial gives positive results for you. Taxol was tolerable for me and with the scalp cooling I was able to prevent losing all my hair. Since you will be getting this along with another chemo., hope your SEs are tolerable. Please keep us posted.

I stopped Adriamycin last month and since about 5 weeks, I have not been on any treatment. Yesterday I had a PET scan and MRI of liver. The PET scan shows that liver mets are stable so far but the spine mets show 'mixed' results.

I will be starting Xtandi (anti-androgen therapy) today and hoping for the best! From whatever I have read about this drug, it makes me nervous to take this. There isn't much data for this drug for MBC plus the side effects are plenty.

Tomorrow I will be talking to the interventional radiologist about the local treatment for the liver. Last time she had mentioned Y-90 procedure.

    Hi S3K5,

Thanks for letting me know that Taxol was tolerable for you, that makes me feel a bit better. I finally had a chance to look at the other drug which is Tesetaxel.

It's scary being off treatment for any length of time, but I look at it as a time for my body to restore & rejuvenate. I've heard good things about Y90. I'd never heard of Xtandi, interesting drug. I hope it works well & SE's are well tolerated. Keep us posted on how you do on it.

I'm heading back out to the garden... take care, cheers, dee
