I think I'm getting a bottlebrush tree for my yard. I'm told that it attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Can't wait to see.

I don't know the name of this bush, other than it's called the butterfly bush, but the monarchs here just love it...
this is in my backyard

Last year my bonded pair of parakeets decided to reproduce and gave me one lovely baby. This year they laid 6 eggs (not all at once) and of those 2 hatched about 2 weeks ago. They have quadrupled in size since then and their nest is a catfood bowl. It is getting a tad crowded with 3 in there but mom is very protective and doting. Her being able to cover them with her body and wings is a toss up and there is always a butt hanging out. Enjoy the family photos.
Baby number one hatched July 2020.
Dad on right and baby #1 on left.

You can't see how tall the Sequoia trees are until you see the people at the bottom

My husband took this picture on Thursday night with his iPhone. He’s a fantastic amateur photographer (in my humble opinion!).

Kamboka, the pic was taken just outside of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. 🇨🇦 It’s not flat here, but the terrain is quite varied. Makes for some gorgeous pics thiufh
