I am still watching my old classmate who was Maga pretty much all the way. She (like her parents before her I think, took a big portion of every paycheck they and she ever got and that would be plenty, and put it in the bank.
Her mother had an amazing amt. of money when retirement time came. Way more than she could use. I presume my friend has done well herself. That is the very reason I'm fairly convinced that she has stopped posting negative things about Democrats. My thought is she is upset with what Trump has done and she is in no mood to defend him right now. So —- better to not stir anyone up to argue points (and you know we have plenty at this time) and then she won't get caught up in a conversation you just couldn't win. This was brought on just now by seeing a post from her and it turned out to be a recipe. She is posting a fair amt. but nothing at all political. Hmmmm.

I have no words, or maybe I should say the words I have are not fit for normal people to have to hear.

Donald Trump Welcomes World Series Champs To White House, Refuses To Introduce Unfavored Senators In Front Of Stunned CrowdA selfish display
DISCLAIMER: This article was first published on April 7, 2025
There’s a saying in politics: “Read the room.” But Donald Trump doesn’t read the room. He walks in, flips the lights on, and starts talking about eggs.
While the U.S. economy is struggling badly—thanks mainly to Trump’s harsh tariffs—he decided to ignore it all on Monday and throw a celebration for the Los Angeles Dodgers at the White House. The stock market is falling. Prices are rising. People are worried. However, Trump was more interested in giving hugs and handshakes to baseball players and making weird jokes.
The Dodgers, who won the 2024 World Series, showed up for the traditional champion’s visit. Manager Dave Roberts, star player Shohei Ohtani, and Mookie Betts were all there. It should’ve been a simple sports moment. But with Trump, nothing is ever just sports.
He stood in the East Room, smiling at the crowd, and said the Dodgers were “the best-looking people I’ve ever seen.” Then he got political—because, of course, he did. He looked at two California senators in the room, Alex Padilla and Adam Schiff, and said, “We have a couple of senators here. I just don’t particularly like them so I won’t introduce them.”
I would say something like this would be hard to imagine, but it is Trump who obviously has no imagination (how things will look) and no decent filters of any kind. I can think of nothing so demeaning to the office he holds as to do something like this, but if he is KING of anything, it is having no clue about proper behavior anywhere and it shows twice as much where he is. Nothing like a lunatic who is stupid and as well is demented. So, okay. It is another one of those days — the kind where you won't be able to reconcile how anyone (even a lot of Maga) could have voted for that completely undeveloped pea brained misfit.

Only one with a real functioning brain. And there are three that definitely have a real FAKE look from the hair to the slated eyes to the fat lips. Only one of these ladies looks actually wholesome.

One name says what's wrong — Pete Hegseth.

These people are definitely dain bramaged and it won't get much better. They are the ones who need to be on a slow boat to somewhere far away never to be heard from again.

Doesn't sound like it's the Democrats coming for your guns to me.

And this isn't near all of it — like deport w/o due process, fire people — anything goes now.

Well talk about a giant oops but then what can you expect from Trump and those he hired — he wasn't bringing the finest and he didn't care. He just wanted ring kissers — and looks like you got em.
3 -
you are one of the world's biggest SOB's and that is completely warranted in part by what you just did, you heathen scum.
2 -
Another freaking heathen, just like the guy that hired him. You are a complete and total disgrace and I commend those who walked out of your crazy diatribe.

I sigh —- over and over again and I'm not a smart person, but I know to check things out before many pronouncements. And he has Obama to thank — as if he'd thank anyone for anything, even more so a black man.

I will be back later. I don't mind admitting that just reading all of this is exhausting while being upsetting too. Sometimes you just need to take a breather from the High and Almighty King Of Complete Stupidity and Chaos.

This is what I thought would happen. Remember, despite the Reps wish for totally unfettered access to all types of weapons, they know that this gives access to those who oppose them . As we push closer to some horrible fate (civil war, dictatorship, who knows?) they want to make sure that those who are armed are on their side. Wait and watch…

This has been my greatest heartbreak. I truly had no idea that so many of my fellow citizens were not only ill informed but almost proud of it and that they are willing to accept casual cruelty (even admire it) and callousness toward anyone as long as they think they are “winning”. What are they winning?

I am so on board with Ruth and you Exbrnxsgrl. I am (very aware of it) not the smartest cooking in the jar, but I do look for sources and answers (help) from others who have been much more able to do a lot of investigation. In that I felt so fortunate when I ran into this thread many yrs. ago now. I think I mentioned that the rule back then was you had to put in source material for your statements. Since you were apparently adopting the statement in whole or in part. That is not so easy now as it was then . Now, of course, we do have more memes and or cartoons and slightly different (in that vein) expressions of displeasure or dislike, or indeed disbelief. Most of those come from sources I trust for the most part. One turns up now and then a bit off but it seems a rarity, so I'm not overly concerned though I do care.
In any case, there is so much that has amazed me about the right and a big part of that is the lack of good information and the desire to have it, which they do seem to totally lack. I'm so bothered by the fact that there is so little curiosity. The assumption is made that the Democrats (left) are wrong, or outright fraudulent about things and no one cares to figure out if that is true, false or even half and half. They just simply don't care and will blindly follow along dutifully with what they are told.
That, thank goodness is not turning out so easy now and I am sooo thankful about that. I did on the way here read s short article (many of you may have seen it) where it spoke about the fact that Trump has made (seems hell bent to continue on in some areas too) one of the absolute — no-no's. a first rule if you will. That would be do not mess with people's money.
I have no idea if that would actually get some people willing to actually have a better look around and even consult in areas a mite to the left of them, but there is un-easiness and queasiness swirling all around. The tariffs, firings, layoffs that have pretty much taken total preference over the promises that go- T-rump revered and re-elected despite all that is wrong with him. There is still great store to be put in Elect in haste w/o due diligence and regret at leisure while perhaps you're a little hungry and having trouble paying your bills because you the Reps. have no job. It may be a stretch, but maybe in some cases in order to get along some may have to try and figure out WHAT is really going on.

I am thrilled — I hope it sends him into a hundred fits, but as far as I'm concerned — not only was he a hideous person/pres. from the first — what he did back then and since —- he shouldn't even be on the list. In reality, he also shouldn't be where he is right now — but we all know that too.
2 -
And we know who started the negative trends that continues to this day. Reagan was first and the rest of the Reps. presidents have followed.
3 -
Thank God I wasn't among those who actually voted the lunatic in.
2 -
You get no argument from me. I would allow enough to be used to make sure the lunatic goes to jail asap though.
2 -
I get what you're saying but it is not T-rumps America — he's throwing it away — it's our America and we are not one bit with him, period.
