And the ballroom. WTF! Bad enough paving the rose garden. I liked the man who said it looked like Chipotle outdoor patio.

People are like stained - glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.

Everyone of us needs to show how much we care for each other and, in the process, care for ourselves.

A picture of me in one of my swim designs was featured in an Australian article on flat closure! It's an interesting read. Instead of just telling women, "You won't feel feminine without breasts," someone actually asked women who had gone flat. A massive 92% were happy with their results. Respondents also reported a lot of pushback and resistance from their care team when they asked for flat closure - some doctors even demanded a psych evaluation before they would listen to their patient! Hopefully, this article will help reassure surgeons and oncologists that going flat is a reasonable option that should be offered along with implant and DIEP options.
I posted the link on my store site, which is also moving along. Still no sales yet, but I have added Canada and Australia to my shipping list. I also imported my listings into Google Business to try and get some traffic outside of social media, and am in the middle of cleaning up the listings that didn't quite import completely. One issue was they somehow dropped the hyphen in my brand name. 🙄 Slowly but surely building along.

miriandra, great article and photo. Why do psychiatrists challenge and question decisions women make about their bodies? Do they question men about changes they make to their bodies? It is the surgeon's issue that is questionable as if the women are not capable of making an informed decision.
I do want to mention that Pete Hegseth, the nut job running the DOD, has espoused the beliefs of a right wing pastor who proclaimed women should not have the right to vote. This chauvinistic pig chimed in his agreement. The 19th amendment to the Constitution was hard fought by women and won in 1920, and there is no going back from my POV. However, considering the heavily conservative Supreme Court we have, someone may try to get them to rule on it.
Someone needs to make his henchmen read the Constitution that they all swore to uphold. Starting with the Loon who never put his hand on the Bible when he took the oath this time. Is that like crossing your fingers behind your back to negate the oath? He is doing what he can to destroy the Constitution and we need some Democratic leadership to challenge what he is doing. Not sure who can do this but I am hoping we can find someone to lead us.

What a wonderful picture and article, miriandra! Like the article says, it's all about respect. And I would add balance. Many women go into reconstruction with out the slightest idea of what a long, hard process that can be. No choice is right or wrong for everyone, and the pros & cons of all the options should be clearly laid out ahead of time.
Along with stripping women of their rights, I see the Supreme Court has been formerly asked to review gay marriage.

Bet the Loon didn't draw that with his sharpie. lol

One of my favorite nights of the year is officially ruined!

President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced this year’s Kennedy Center honorees — the first since his takeover of the institution — further molding Washington’s iconic performing arts center in his image.
Trump announced at a press event at the Center that he would host this year’s annual event where musician George Strait, actor and comedian Michael Crawford, actor Sylvester Stallone, singer Gloria Gaynor and rock band KISS will all be awarded.

I am here in Canada but I have to say Trump and his are the only people I can say I hate. His cruelty to his own people is horrible, only picking up brown people, no matter if they are citizens. He also has pretty obvious symptoms of dementia too. It can be seen when he trips and when he forgets what he is saying. Tarriffs are a joke as well. I feel bad for the regular Americans trying to get on with their lives.

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.

I agree that the loon in Putin's pet. He gets played so well and doesn't seem to learn from their interactions. I wonder what he has on the loon to make him so submissive. The loon needs to back out of this, he cannot make a deal here and in the meantime, the Ukrainians are suffering. They need to be admitted to NATO (they can take the spot we vacated) and to the EU so they are protected from the predatory behavior of Putin. Enough with using them as a pawn, and abusing their right to exist as a democratic country,

As a Californian, I have not been tremendously impressed with Gavin Newsome as our governor as he sometimes comes across as another “slick” politician. However, I must say that I am enjoying his trolling of the orange menace, and the recognition that Democrats must begin to fight fire with fire before it’s too late. Republicans have always fought dirty. While I have always recognized the importance of upholding the norms, I think it’s time to get down in the mud. I don’t believe that the Republican Party will change for the better so perhaps it’s time to put principles aside and fight to win.

Each day holds a surprise. But only if we expect it can we see, hear, or feel it when it comes to us. Let's not be afraid to receive each day's surprise, whether it comes to us as sorrow or as joy It will open a new place in our hearts, a place where we can welcome new friends and celebrate more fully our shared humanity.

Did anyone watch the weasel Marco Rubio on Face the Nation? Number one, he is so rude to Margaret when he talks over her and he has a preordained script that features cruelty as it's message. Second, his claim that Ukraine must make land concessions to end the war is so wrong. Why, Putin wants to rule Ukraine and this is his way of keeping a hand in their politics. Thirdly, Putin wants to strip Ukraine from the means to protect itself from further incursions by making them disarm. So while he might not invade again, I think he has plans for Belarus, his puppet state, to invade. His intention is to rebuild the Soviet Union into its past state with all those satellite countries that are now independent, and he will continue to wage war unless he is cut off at the knees.
To leave the Loon in charge of any further talks is a disaster. I don't know what Putin has on him but he is a puppet in his hands. We know that he is interested in expanding the Trump empire into Russia and he has been quite vocal about that. Europe needs to step up and take over before Ukraine is a shell of its former grandeur.
Next Putin will want Alaska back for its minerals and oil. Will the Loon sit back and let this happen? He already let Putin in to scope out what defenses are available. What was he thinking?
Rubio is nothing more than a talking head with a Napoleonic complex. In my opinion he's like tits on a bull. Not diplomatic and lacking manners with an aggressive attitude towards women. I wonder if he would have spoken to a male like he did to Margaret?
