I reached out to Illinoislady after such a prolonged absence for her and the message was opened but no reply. Today, one of the Chicago ladies on another forum did a google search and it seems Illinoislady died on Sunday, August 3rd. I know she had been having some health issues lately but she had had so many medical challenges over the years and always bounced back.
I will miss her contributions to this forum, her daily quotes which she tailored to the times, and her willingness to drive this and other forums. She was my friend and I will miss her dearly. I am heartbroken.
I don't know who will fill her shoes, but I am hoping that we can continue to honor her by keeping this forum moving forward. That would be a lasting tribute to her. May her memory be a blessing to all of us and may she rest in peace.

Oh Betrayal, I can hardly believe it! I didn't know that she had been so ill. I was on vacation for a week & then sick for the week after I got back, so didn't even realize that she hadn't been posting. I feel bad that I didn't get get the chance to tell how much I appreciated her dedication to giving us a daily motivational quote, plus all her many on-spot memes & commentaries. Yes, we must absolutely keep this thread going; although no one will ever be able to replace Illinoislady!

Betrayal - Thanks for sharing the devastating news about Jackie. I didn't realize she was so was that ill either. She will be sorely missed.

We are terribly saddened to hear about Illinoislady's passing. Thank you @betrayal for sharing this update.
We've added Illinoislady (Jackie) to our In Memoriam thread. Jackie has been such an integral part of our community here; she will be very greatly missed. Sending gentle hugs and wishes of comfort to all of her friends and family.

I found it aggravating when he announced "More ways to spend my money" from the WH roof, as if our government's money was 'his' money to spend. 😡
