Jackie, you make an excellent point in saying that the Jan. 6 report, with its thorough investigation, is now on the history books. It needed to be done for that reason. The Republicans are tone deaf and hear none of it sadly, but it is there for the sane people.

“Among the most shameful findings from our hearings was this: President Trump sat in the dining room off the Oval Office watching the violent riot at the Capitol on television. For hours, he would not issue a public statement instructing his supporters to disperse and leave the Capitol, despite urgent pleas from his White House staff and dozens of others to do so," Cheney wrote in her foreword to the report. "Members of his family, his White House lawyers, virtually all those around him knew that this simple act was critical. For hours, he would not do it. During this time, law enforcement agents were attacked and seriously injured, the Capitol was invaded, the electoral count was halted and the lives of those in the Capitol were put at risk. In addition to being unlawful, as described in this report, this was an utter moral failure—and a clear dereliction of duty. Evidence of this can be seen in the testimony of his WhiteHouse Counsel and several other White House witnesses. No man who would behave that way at that moment in time can ever serve in any position of authority in our nation again. He is unfit for any office.“
When I read this, it makes me think about the gladiator fights in the Coliseum and how they had spectators. These men would go and battle each other often to the death, seemingly for the entertainment of others who watched in the stadium. In my honest opinion, Trump pitted opposing forces in the Capitol against each other for his own entertainment. He thoroughly enjoyed the insurrection. He was just pissed at everyone because he lost the election, a sick, sick, vile and evil man who cared nothing of his vice president or the common voter or anyone, anyone at all.

I would like to think that some of those people, like Hannity who seemed to be closely aligned and working with the Loon might fall heir to some sort of negative recognition for having a part of the disinformation and possible fomenting of the events leading up to, and during 1/6. I'm sure they were championing the Loon and his bootlickers as they attempted their different methods through court filings and alternate electors and any other schemes used to try and ruin and change the transfer of power from the Loon to Pres. Biden. I think anyone who had a part deserves recognition of the worst kind and in the worst way although knowing it un-likely. Just a wish on my part.

I can get totally on board with the ideas as well Spookie. Cardplayer, don't you get tired of hearing the Loon characterize the legal search warrant at Mara Lago a raid. He is in fact right about raids, but then his narratives about actual events always smell of the confabulated story that is about as far from the truth as a person can get. He thinks in lies as he tells them and it is all wrapped up in the ways he thinks he should be able to live. As he seems to have been born minus a conscience it is so much easier to just say what you think at the moment no matter how far out. Why we were offerred bleach as a solution for covid from him. Choke, choke, choke.
