I would think — in fact pray with my whole heart this could not be so, but the whole Reps. party is nuttier than fruit cakes and can't think past their noses if that far.
Definitely not the Reps. party that my Dad found comfort in for his beliefs. He would likely be nearly first to denounce the behaviors of the last 20 yrs. or so.

The fight for the union has taken a few turns. The lease for the studio space expires in September, and Dan shows no intention of renewing. So the studio is doomed. 😞
But Dan owns 6 more Elements studios, and at least one other studio also had an incident of a massage therapist being fired for discussing unionization. Dan's union busting has been so aggressive and egregious that our union lawyer thinks we have a chance of pulling a Starbucks on him. Basically, the NLRB could decide that if Dan had not done any illegal union busting, the other studios would reasonably have voted to unionize. In that case, they could bypass a union vote and simply declare that Dan's studios are unionized. And, since he has not kept his seven businesses separate (because he has made managers, therapists, and front dest staff work at multiple locations at the same time; has moved equipment and supplies from one location to another; and used the income from our studio to pay the bills at his other locations because our manager busted her ass keeping our members informed during the COVID lockdown), he potentially has lost his LLC protections, meaning that his studios are actually parts of one single business and the union covers ALL of his locations. If we can pull this off, it would be delicious!
We're also getting more press presence. With two unionized massage studios, we're a movement!

Great articles miriandra. While I had great massages at Hand and Stone, there was intense pressure from the desk personnel as to what percentage of the service my tip should be and also to enroll in their annual program. I was uncomfortable with all this pressure feeling that it detracted from the calming massage I had just received and that tipping should be based on my own feeling. I was always generous but did not like the pressure. So I started using an independent massage therapist before Covid and would like to connect with her again. She was certified by Unite for HER as a BC approved massage therapist.
I hope this issue is finally resolved in your favor. I am a firm supporter of unionized workers having been one for most of my work life.

This was a long read but I thought it presented a much better picture of how Pres. Biden is doing — for now and into deep election territory.
Media is still fostering as much 'pretense' as they can get away with which was somewhat bothersome to me as I sometimes do not know what to believe. This piece helped me make better sense of it.
