betrayal, I don’t listen to much opera, but last week I was listening to Katherine Jenkins on Spotify. Her voice is incredible.

Jackie, I’m out of the loop when it comes to knowing about George Conway. Did he and Kellianne divorce?
Not sure how much I will be posting for the next week. After doing a small amount of yardwork and using the cordless hedge trimmers, my hand and wrist was in so much pain I ended up going to ExpressCare. Turns out it’s a flareup of arthritis so now my wrist is in a splint and I’m taking oral steroids. Right now I’m using the microphone to make this post so I don’t have to type so much. I’m talking into the microphone because DH is out fishing, so I’m home alone at the moment. Ha ha. But I will be reading as I recuperate!

Divine — I'm sorry about the arthritis flare. It does sound pretty debilitating, and I hope it resolves sooner rather than late.
Glad you can do some reading. In reality George and Kellyanne are not yet divorced but only announced March 5th. this yr. that they were in the final stages of an amicable divorce. Kellyanne said that they both agreed when she got the job at the WH they would go to Washington. Then George had a change of heart. She felt betrayed in large part since they were both on board at first.
Who knows why George Conway had a major change of heart, but as he was co-founder of the Lincoln Project I have assumed (and I stress just myself) that George was in contact with people who recognized a huge amt. of danger in the Loon being in the WH and he (before any move on his part had taken place) backed out of the agreement he and Kellyanne had. She felt betrayed, but I don't see it that way at all — I think she had a streak in her that could be utilized by a person like the Loon and she lost her way. If she wants to call it some sort of betrayal, so be it.
Don't ask me why, but I had no idea that Tim Conway was her father. That was a major surprise to me. At any rate, I don't know that the divorce is final yet. No word coming out that I could find on that. I've also heard that Kellyanne is dating Fred Thompson but I've also heard that she isn't dating. Go figure. If Thompson escorted her anywhere or so much as had dinner or lunch with her, then I'm sure it would have been parlayed in some way by news media.
Fred Thompson is an interesting person. He was an actor and played on one of my favorite shows, " Law and Order". He was also an attorney, as well as lobbying for a few yrs. and was a Reps. Senator from Tenn. He left the Senate in 2003.
Thats about all I know at this point. I think Thompson though is likely a fair amt. older than K. Conway. Don't know that it means much either way.

One of the asides was " Great, but Fox News is still going to lie". They sure didn't get where they got by telling the truth. I'm glad it is costing them some real $$$$ and I hope even more of that happens.

This week MAGA House Republicans proposed gutting vital programs for millions of children, women, and seniors. Here are some of the impacts of their proposed cuts:
- 110,000 children would lose access to Head Start slots
- 65,000 children would lose access to childcare
- 60,000 seniors would be robbed of nutrition services like Meals on Wheels
- 2.1 million women, infants, and children would be waitlisted for the Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
- Nearly 300,000 households—including 20,000 veterans and 90,000 seniors—would lose housing choice vouchers, putting them at greater risk of homelessness
- Up to 40,000 fewer teachers, aides, and staff, affecting 26 million students, 7.5 million of which are students with disabilities
- 4,000 fewer rail safety inspection days next year, with nearly 11,000 fewer miles of track inspected annually—enough track to cross the United States more than 3 times
- 145 fewer members of local law enforcement due to cuts at the Department of Justice

- 50,000 workers would lose an average of $1,000 in back wages they are owed
People applying for disability benefits would have to wait 2 months longer

Kellyanne's maiden name was Fitzpatrick and George Conway III is the son of George Jr. and his son is George IV. So no relationship to Tim Conway, thank goodness. Fred Thompson, the actor from L & O and former Senator, actually died in 2015, so whomever she is dating, is not him.
I do not see a betrayal in him not moving to DC due to his unapologetic hatred of the Loon. I am not sure her children accompanied her to DC. Her oldest daughter has made no bones about her mother's political leanings either.
Divine, my sympathies with the flare-up of arthritis in your wrist and hand. Hope you get relief soon.

So sorry putting in wrong information — two people listed on the same page = one having the same name as Kellyanne. I'll try to watch out for that in future. I was not aware that Fred Thompson was deceased, but it did seem to me that he was actually a bit old for Kellyanne.
An interesting item to me is that Sheldon Whitehouse played on Law and Order as well. I think possibly in nearly the same role as Thompson had when there.
