I just thought I would put this here.

New mammogram guidelines issued for people who get vaccinated

The vaccinations can cause the axillary lymph nodes to enlarge. This is a normal response and means the vaccine is working and the lymph nodes are doing their job but it can result in mammogram callbacks as normal reactive lymph nodes may be indistinguishable from malignant ones on mammograms.

The article says states

"The Society of Breast Imaging is issuing new guidelines for routine mammograms:

*Get a mammogram before getting the vaccine.

*Or Wait 4 to 6 weeks after last dose

(Dr. Priti Shah) said what patients shouldn't do is skip their appointment---especially if they feel something like a lump."We would just want to avoid delaying a potential cancer diagnosis if we can," Shah said."
