Whole breast ultrasound and MRI

Ladies,

I read these boards often but seldom post. I love this community. Turned 40 in Jan. 2021. Had mammo in Feb. 2021. Today, I had whole breast ultrasound as supplemental screening. Radiologist who came and spoke with me after was somewhat condescending. She implied that I really should be having an MRI based on my 26 % life time risk and I was wasting my time by having whole breast ultrasound. My density is 3 or 4 depending on radiologist. My surgeon, when she told me about supplemental screening in Feb., was significantly more positive and said "you qualify for both and could chose."

I do recognize MRI is the gold standard. I chose whole breast ultrasound because I, personally, have some pretty significant health anxiety. I know MRI can find a lot of false positives. That does not mean MRI is not the right chose for others on this board. Maybe I will do it next year!

Anyone have a similar experience?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
