Pain - back and rib
Starting 3 weeks ago, I started having pain in my upper right abdomen. They did an US, which was mostly normal but going to do a CT scan to check kidney. With this pain, I've had pain in my mid back, left shoulder and a few lower ribs. Its tender when I rub on the rib. I did not have an injury. I'm pretty concerned with all these symptoms appearing 3 wks ago and not going away. I did have a bone scan Sept 2021 and it was normal buy know that doesnt mean anything with cancer.
Can you describe your experience with how bone mets pain felt?

They performed a chest, abdomen and pelvis CT scan which came back normal. To be safe, they are ordering a bone scan too.
Would a CT scan show mets?

Hopefully they can figure out what's going on soon! I had a bone met but it was not painful at all. It was only found during scans for other symptoms.0

Yes, it was first seen on a CT scan.

Yes, they would typically be able to see bone mets on CT. Bone scan might bettershow very small areas. Good luck!
