BRCA Positive
Hi Everyone,
I am new here and trying to make a decision on prophylactic Mastectomy. I am 66 with a positive BRCA2 diagnosis. I had a total hysterectomy at age 34 and from what I have been reading having the hysterectomy may have reduced my chances of acquiring Breast Cancer. Making the decision to have a prophylactic surgery is mind blowing. My doctors (Breast Surgeon, and Gynecologist) both think it's the way to go. I am wondering if at my age is my risk lower? Advise? Opinions?
