Nice about lymphedema?

I just got lymphedema and I'm scared it's the end of living life normally and of nice events in my life. I wanted to ask you to tell about nice moments you've got since you've got lymphedema and give us newbies some courage. Are there any nice moments? Are they daily? Is there still a lifejoy? Does it resamble to 'normal life' before lymphedema?
