Need help in making decision on starting AI and ovarian suppression vs Tamoxifen alone
Im ER+, PR+, HER-, Stage 1 ,grade 2, 1 lymph node, post double mastectomy with oncotype of 12. The oncologist said my risk of recurrence is 13% and will go down by 2.3% if I do Chemo or take Anastrazole with ovarian suppression. As an alternative I can take Tamoxifen. I declined Chemo as 2.3% seems not significant to go thru chemo. But I cant decide If I should start on AI with ovarian suppression (which also has a lot of side effects), or just take the Tamoxifen. Hope there is somebody with similar experience, who can share their story…

Hi @janette13 , and welcome to our community,
We hope to hear from others on this, but are attaching some links here as well. What does your medical oncologist suggest?
Here for you!!

I'd start with the best treatment personally which in your case is AI's and see if you tolerate it. If you can't, then go to tamoxifen.
