    Hi katg,

I hope Breast Cancer Awareness Month and “pink” will one day recognize all who have been affected by breast cancer.

My husband loves to give me and my mother in law pink ribboned stuff to wear. We wear it for him because he does it out of love for us. However, she and I both very much dislike the pink. We know we got lucky cards on our cancer paths. So many fought much harder than we did who did not make it or are still fighting daily with treatments who should be recognized. That battle must be much harder than mine. Knowing about breast cancer awareness doesn’t mean someone with it will make it through it or not become stage IV. Needless to say, the pink doesn’t really tell the truth - IMO.
