Waiting …
I went for my yearly mammogram three weeks ago. I’m 54 years old with no family history of Breast cancer. I was called to go back for additional mammogram views and an ultrasound of left breast. A week went by and I received an early morning call requesting me to go back in for a 90 degree mammogram view. I asked if I could come right then and thankfully I was told yes come right now. Two days later I received call that I had an appointment at the woman’s breast clinic at my local hospital for the end of August. That it was for additional diagnostics and biopsy. So now I wait and worry about the 10x11mm spiculated nodule in upper left quadrant of left breast and the axillery lymph nodes thickness. Does this sound worrisome ?

Hi @sueb70, I’m sorry that you have to go through the wait for additional imaging and a biopsy. About 80% of biopsies are benign but everyone worries they will be in the minority. Imaging alone can’t give a diagnosis which is why biopsies are done. Try to stay busy to keep your mind off it (easier said than done.) Come back and let us know how it goes. Here’s hoping for benign!
