I FEEL LIKE THERE IS NO WAY I'M THE ONLY ONE GOING THRU THIS
I WAS DX IN 2019 WITH DCIS TX WITH LUMPECTOMY, RADIATION AND A POOR ATTEMPT AT FAT GRAFTING ALMOST A YEAR LATER. THEN MY REOCCURANCE IN 2024 LET ME KNOW THAT 2019 WAS JUST A PRACTICE ROUND. I AM CURRENTLY THREE WEEKS OUT RECOVERING FROM A DBL MASTECTOMY WITH DIEP FLAP RECONSTRUCTION.HERE I THOUGHT I MADE A POSITIVE OUT OF A NEGATIVE BUT UNFORTUNATELY THAT IS NOT THE CASE. MY MARRIAGE IS FAILING, MY SON IS 13 AND IS UNABLE TO EVEN BEGIN TO RELATE TO MY CIRCUMSTANCES AND I FEEL LIKE I DONT KNOW WHO i AM ANYMORE. HONESTLY ITS PRETTY SAD.

Hi @tmarie43 -
Very sorry for all that you are going thru, but glad you have found us. It's really a shock when you think you're done with b.c. and it comes back isn't it?
There are many forums here to chat with others that have similar experiences. Those of us who have experienced the 'bonus' of having b.c. more than once have this forum:
If you want to read/chat with others about the whole 'dealing with it', this forum might be helpful:
And there are several other forums that might be helpful if you start digging and reading.
You are 100% correct. You aren't the only one going through this. We all vary in our experiences, but it isn't easy for any of us. We all find our own way to cope on our own timeline. One of the biggest ways most of us deal with all of this is by reading and/or posting. This helps all of us to know we are not alone.
I hope you can find some solace here.
Know that you are not alone.
Take care.
