Breast reconstruction

I had a double mastectomy a decade ago. I had decided at that time that I did not want reconstruction. I have now changed my mind, but so afraid of choosing the right doctor. I've seen some horror stories and pictures for which I do not want to be a victim. How do I find the right one? I don't know anyone that can refer me, other than those that had enhancements, and that type of surgery just isn't the same.
