changing plastic surgeons
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has changed plastic surgeons during their reconstruction after a mastectomy? Just over a week ago I had a bilateral mastectomy with tissue expanders behind the muscle and would like to change plastic surgeons. My current surgeon does not answer my questions, does not have a nurse or P.A. that I can speak to, tells me things that conflict with all of the guidance I've read (ex. he told me I can lift 20 lbs just one week after my mastectomy), and he didn't wash his hands or wear gloves when removing my drains. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!!!

@grateful25 We're so sorry to hear about your negative experience with you plastic surgeon. We unfortunately hear this from time to time, and yes, you should start to interview other plastic surgeons! It's so important to get the correct treatment, and not get an infection!
