High liver enzymes
Hi,
This is my first post.
In December 2024 i found out my original breast cancer from 2020 had returned, metastasised to my sternum & lungs.
I started Kisqali in January 2025, halfway through cycle 2 I had to stop taking my tablet due to acute raised liver enzymes, I am currently 4 weeks off the tablet, my ALTs are starting to reduce at last although still very high at 750.. (normal range under 100), my oncologist expects it to take a few more weeks to reduce to normal range before I can go back on a treatment. I continue to get my Fulvestrant & Xgeva injections.
Has anyone been off their Kisqali before for a few months?

Hi @norajane, You might get an answer to your question if you read or post on one of these other threads which focus on Kisqali.
Re: Ribociclib/Kisqali with Letrozole - Any one on this combo?Re: Kisqali/ribociclib, Faslodex/fluvestrant & Xgeva combo - Anyone?Kisqali side effects and timingRe: What to expect from Kisqali (side effects)?I'm not on Kisqali but looked at your post since I am also dealing with high liver enzymes, possibly from a statin or for some other unknown reason. Since they showed up incidentally on a blood test for something else and the statin was stopped they have been falling for six weeks but still have a way to go.
I hope you can find what you're looking for.

P.S. In the past I have lived in Meath and Dublin City among other places.

hi I took kisqali for two cycles and then my liver enzymes went way way crazy high almost liver failure levels. So I stopped and was only taking my anaromatics inhibitor and it took 2 1/2 to 3 months for my liver enzymes to get back to but now they’re completely normal. I am starting now with abemaciclib which is verzenio and after a week my liver enzymes normal, which is encouraging
