Arthritics and Bone Mets

Options

Has anyone developed arthritis after developing bone mets?

I have a theory that the anti-hormone treatment has caused arthritics to develop earlier than it should.

Arthritis and joint pain are affecting my quality of life much more than the cancer at the moment. It seems to be very hard to get on top of it, along with the cancer treatment.

@sunnidays I'm not sure how old you are, but it's well known that the estrogen blockers cause joint pain and I assume that means arthritis. All the scans I've had show arthritic feet, knees, hips, and shoulders (I don't even notice it in my feet or knees), but I'm in my late sixties, so that's to be expected anyway. The pain in my back, hips, and shoulders has definitely increased since I've been taking estrogen blockers, and others here will say the same, I'm sure. That said, I find a good round of stretching exercises every day to be absolutely essential to keeping me going. I also do pilates to keep my joints loose. I do worry about continuing deterioration.

Thank you so much for commenting. I have joint pain and arthritis in my knee, and am now developing nodules on my finger joints. The knee, in particular, is stopping me from hiking and walking as much as I used to. I am reluctant to start taking more medication, but I suppose I might have to. I am in my 60s, one of my sisters suggested getting a referral to a geriatrician for an overall look at eveything. She found it very helpful for her husband, but I feel I a bit young for a geriatrician LOL, if it would help, I'm going to do it.
