How fast can HER2 positive cells grow ?
i was diagnosed in Aug- 2024 with IDC Grade 3, 3 foci largest 3mm, extremely high grade DCIS of 8cm, HER2 positive score 3, HR negative, ki67: 90%, braca 1 and 2 negative, and i am 30 years old.
At first on 28 July 2024 I did an ultrasound in a town hospital and they said it’s normal nothing to mention. Did it because i had bloody nipple discharge.
11 days later on 7 Aug 2024 repeated the ultrasound in a good hospital in the capital city and they immediately found something, did mamo same day then MRI the next day and it was proven that i had DCIS.
Did a biopsy 3 days later and the result was
high-grade ductal carcinoma in-situ.
Focus suspicious but not definitive of microinvasion is noted.
Necrosis: Present (comedo-type).
Did a mastectomy on 20 Aug 2024 and the pathology report came back as previously mentioned at the beginning
My question is how fast could the cancerous cells grow ?
how long it take to become that big or how long it takes to become invasive?
taking into consideration my extremely aggressive cancer and it very high rate of ki67 could a day make a change ?
I’m asking because I filed a Medical malpractice case against the first local hospital stating that my US is normal while i had 8 cm DCIS 11 days later
So I’m trying to calculate how much damage did this 11 days delay would have cost?
if it wast discovered at that time would the invasion still be there ?
would I be able to avoid mastectomy to lumpectomy?
Would i be able to avoid chomo ?
Does anyone knows for sure how fast their aggressive BC grows ?
