Estradiol levels not dropping
I had a total hysterectomy and was on bio-identical hormone therapy (pellets) for over 10 years. I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. I had a lumpectomy with a lymph node dissection and radiation. I'm now seeing a medical oncologist and he has me on 20 mg of Tamoxifen until my estradiol levels decrease and then the plan is to put me on an AI. I haven't had pellets for over a year and my estradiol is still 25. He wants it to be under 10. In February, it was 37 and dropped to 27 in April but it just isn't going much lower. I can't understand why it isn't dropping. Anyone else having this issue?
