Possible round 2 with cancer and scared
10 years ago I had idc stage 1 grade 2 in my right breast. Hormone receptor positive her- brca 1/2 negative
Had lumpectomy, 25 rounds radiation and 5 boosts. 5 years of tamoxifen.
Hysterectomy and oopherectomy in 2020 after issues with ovarian cysts and heavy bleeding. Had more genetic testing and nothing showed. Could not handle side effects of arimidex.
Now 10 years later I just had a biopsy on suspicious mass found on both mammo/sono. BI-RADS 4 b/c was on report. I am trying to remain calm but this waiting is hard.
I had a crao (eye stroke) in 2023 and I don’t know how that will affect my treatment (if needed) drs could not find cause for stroke believed tamoxifen/covid/bc thickened my blood.
I was so happy in August celebrating 10 years from my lumpectomy. Hope results come quickly!!

Hi @ltam16, I’m sorry you are once again waiting for a biopsy result. It doesn’t get easier when it’s the second time. Hopefully you won’t have to worry about how a CRAO would affect your treatment but in the event that it’s needed you should have your ophthalmologist weigh in. If tamoxifen were a possible culprit I would definitely avoid that. I hope the news comes quickly and is good. If not this is still a good site for information and support.
