ILC recurrence grade 2 pls need advice
my mom had breast cancer and she done with her long treatment almost ten years ago. Her cancer was advanced stage 3B.
Now she started to have pain under her shoulder and the doctor did biopsy and it’s confirmed she has recurrence.
My mom is 73 years old and can someone guide me what kind of treatment they might do?
Or if someone in similar situation.
I am at loss and don’t know what to expect .

Her treatment plan would depend on whether her recurrence is considered to be local/ regional recurrence limited to breast tissue, or whether it is metastasis to nearby soft tissue or bones. Do you have any information on the location of the new lesions? Her treatment would also depend on what subtype of cancer your mom has — is it hormone-positive? HER2 positive? This would determine whether her oncologist may recommend further systemic treatment with possibly a CDK 4/6 inhibitor, hormone-blocking therapy, or other targeted treatments. Does your mom have any upcoming appointments to discuss her biopsy findings and next steps with her oncologist?
