Hello. On my first round of doxil. Did anyone have a lot of upper and lower back pain?

    @brandie1 💗 — welcome.

    Yes, back pain can be common with Doxil, especially after the first infusion. Many people report upper or lower back pain, muscle aches, or body pain that can start a few days after treatment and last several days.

    Because you have stage IV disease and scleroderma, it’s important to let your oncology team know about any new or worsening back pain, just to be safe and to make sure it’s treated appropriately.

    Some members find relief with:

    • Asking their oncologist about safe pain meds
    • Gentle stretching or heat (if approved)
    • Staying well hydrated

    You’re not alone — please keep us posted on how you’re doing, and reach out to your treatment team if the pain continues or gets worse 💕
