recently diagnosed with this mutation. Does this mean I have active cancer in my body? My dr is trying to get me on Truqap. My dr keeps telling me I’m metastatic, but I don’t know what it is based on. Is it because of this mutation or because I’ve had 3 primary IDC in 23 years. Earliest was 2025. When I ask, she says it came back for the 3rd time

@f__kcancer If you are stage IV metastatic, it is revealed through scans. Have you had a CT or PET scan yet? The PIK3CA is a cancer mutation that does have treatment options if you are stage IV. PIK3CA is a mutation that means hormonal treatment may not be working, so then Truqap is a good option and we are fortunate to have this drug available. As you know more, all this will become clear.
