Exemestane snoring symptoms ?
ever since my mastectomy and reconstruction surgeries I’ve started snoring. At 1st we wondered if it was due to being intubated . Then I read something which I can get back to, that indicated Exemestane may cause sleep apnea? I don’t think I have sleep apnea as I do not wake up gasping for air. But I do snore (and now my husband going into the other room if I get too loud) which I’ve never done before until now. Anyone any thoughts or experience with this new symptom following surgeries and new medications like Exemestane ?

@toni398, we're sorry to hear of this latest concern that has popped up. How long have you been on Exemestane, and did you notice the snoring worsening before or after you started taking Exemestane? Snoring can also be exacerbated by recent allergies or colds, or by recent weight gain.
If you feel that your sleep quality has been poor (you don't feel rested after a full night of sleep, or you feel consistently drowsy during waking hours), we recommend consulting with your medical team about follow-up for sleep apnea testing. Some possible short-term remedies for snoring would be to sleep on an incline, such as with a wedge pillow, or to sleep on your side (avoid sleeping on your back, to help prevent the collapse of the soft tissues along your airway.)

This started around August / September of 2023, a couple of months after mastectomy and start of reconstructive surgeries, same timing when I 1st started on aromatase inhibitors, initially Anastrazole in Aug 2023. Switched to Exemestane around May 2024. Anyway, I’ve tried a few things to minimize the snoring, more recently, a special new pillow, which I believe has helped but not eliminated the snoring. I’ve never been a good all night sleeper but the snoring is new, last couple of years now. I will make appointment with my doctor and an ENT and take it from there! Thank you for responding!
