Breast reconstruction with implants
Hello, i just had my exchange surgery after expanders post DMX. I had expanders filled to 550 cc. I learned today that they only were able to put in 415 cc implants due to the fact they could not get the pocket to close when a larger implant was put in. Did anyone have this experience? Not sure if this leaves me options for larger size reconstruction in the future.

What you’re describing can happen. Sometimes the tissue can’t safely accommodate a larger implant at the time of exchange, even if expanders were filled more.
