Diet changes
So, I am newly diagnosed with IDC found with a lump by my collarbone. A real wakeup call. The last 3 weeks I have made drastic life changes, mostly diet. Gave up red meat, hubbies cooking (he always tries but sabotages, good cook and I was eating huge portions) and started eating small meals of good food, cut all bad carbs and stuck to mainly leafy greens, fruits, yogurt, nuts, etc. The foods that are supposed to be cancer enemies. Also, I have been taking anti inflamitory vitamins for a while (berberine, turmeric with ginger, resverital, vit D, Niacin, AReds,) Added Green Tea. Also, started back to exercise (rowing and walking ) to get my 150 min/week.
I swear, in the last few days the tumor seems to have shrunk, I can barely feel it now - could be from the biopsy or my imagination. Is this possible? I am leaving for a ten day trip next Saturday and don't see the surgeon until April 20 and was worried about the delay making the cancer spread but feeling better now, that if I control these changes things might improve instead of getting worse.

Thank you for sharing all this @livinglong ! So glad you found us, though we wish you didn't need to! 💙
BRAVO for all the lifestyle changes you've made in just three weeks! Genuinely impressive.
Better food, exercise, reducing inflammation are definitely all the right things to support your overall health and will certainly help your body through treatment. Keep it up!On the tumor feeling smaller — there are actually a couple of things that could explain that! Post-biopsy swelling going down can make a real difference in how things feel, and eating well can reduce inflammation in your body faster than you'd think. So some of what you're feeling may genuinely be real ! Just keep in mind that's not quite the same as the tumor itself necessarily getting smaller.
IDC is invasive by nature, and a healthy diet and overall lifestyle — as GREAT as they are — work best alongside medical treatment, not as a substitute for it. The motivation you have right now is incredible, and you're going to want to bring all of that energy also into your treatment plan.
Before you leave for your trip, we'd really encourage you to call your surgeon's office just to make sure they're okay with the timeline. Ten days probably isn't an issue, but get that reassurance from them directly rather than worrying the whole time you're away.
You've got this — and this community is here for you every step of the way. 💙
Please keep us posted, and don't hesitate to ask questions as your appointments come up.

Just found out I am Triple Positive and they are trying to move up the appointment and schedule an MRI at least before we are scheduled to leave so may have to adjust our travel plans. Wouldn't you know all the surgeons are off next week! I am in a daze!

Beat cancer hands down
I'm 41 years old, and I have been battling this God forsaken disease for some time now. I just got my test result and im happy to be a survivor.
I can't say if its the medical treatment or the herbs I got from Vietnam I'm just so happy I won the battle. Please don't give up.
