Hives during chemo and other side effects
I experienced hives on 14th day of 3rd TC cycle. Doctor thinks cause is due to food or skin product. I just want to know if anyone has got similar rash during chemo. Also , is stammering or stuttering a chemo or anxiety side effect.

Hi @matcha_pocky! Welcome to the community, and thank you for sharing your experience. We’re really glad you reached out. Those kinds of side effects can feel unsettling, especially when you’re not sure what’s causing them.
We hope other members will share if they’ve had something similar during chemo. In the meantime, here is an article on Managing itching from our main site that may be of help.
Please feel free to keep posting and exploring the forum. There’s a lot of information and support here.

@matcha_pocky I had a similar experience after my first treatment with docetaxol, traztuzamab (Herceptin) and pertuzamab (Perjeta). I got a rash or hives all over my chest. It was not itchy or burning, completely asymptomatic other than the red marks. I was given a topical cream to put on it to help reduce it. For the next treatment, they reduced to docetaxol dose slightly and it didn’t appear again. They suspected I was slightly sensitive to the chemo drug.
Make sure you report it to your doctor. I hope you’re able to identify what’s causing the hives for you. Good luck!
