Deborah - thanks for posting the link about the nipple size. I chose the 'most popular'. At least now I have a picture to take of what I want - trying to get my tattooing appt scheduled soon. Once again, thanks for the helpful information.

Jerusha:  The Mentor CPGs are still in clinical trials.

I am not sure what the criteria is for who gets Mentor vs. who gets Allergan or if a PS gets both.  Some must have access to both.

Deborah, I can't wait to see what you decide on your tattoos.   You were not happy with your nips in the beginning, are you happy with them now?  I love that website you posted, my nips are still HUGE though and there is nothing like them on that site to see what size areola would work.

Val, I know you must be so proud! Did the nipple cover ups work?

Tory:  I know my BS told me when she first found out about my "silent gallsstones" to limit fat intake.  Since we eat low-fat anyway it wasn't too hard at least.  Thanks for your story.  I was just convinced I didn't have them when she asked me before they were found on a cT though since I never had heard of "silent" gallstones.  Maybe I can convince someone to break them up and leave me alone!  One can hope, right?

Val, Congrats on the graduation!  I know what a proud moment that is!  How exciting.  And yes, lots and lots of tears!

Jaclyn, I'll be thinnking of you on your surgery.  May you recover quickly!

    Thanks, Lee45!

...and others who responded to my post.  I did postpone my fills for tomorrow.  I have 250cc expanders in and have been filled to 290, which is where i want to be.  But I think they may have overexpanded me a couple of weeks ago b/c I've had excruciating pain in my left side.

I had no idea it would be so hard to decide when to stop.  I'm thinking my body may be telling me something, maybe I just can't do it anymore. My skin looks strained, little white marks, stretch marks?  Ugh!  I don't want those.  Anyone else get stretch marks from the fills?  I'm thinking they'll probably go away??

I have a quick question about silicone tape to help reduce scarring.  Has any of you who is allergic to surgical tape tried the silicone tape without any problems?  That's my hope.  Thanks!

Wow - this thread moves fast!  My scans came back good.  The PETscan was okay - a  little lit up where I had BC and nowhere else on my body.  Thank goodness.  My brain MRI was okay, too!  NED!!!!  :)

    well done kittykat!

JAN~~ its really wierd you mention tape.....i have never had a real problem with tape or plasters, but after my expansion the other week,my PS but a plaster over each of the needle entry sites as she always does,i took them off 30 mins later and had bright red outline of the plaster on my boobs!

I ts been 12 days since, and i can still see a plaster shaped 'scar' on my skin on both sides. It almost looks like a burn/scar or something. It has no colour. Its almost just shiny where the redness was but it won't go. Im worried this has scarred me permenently.

I am now frightened to get plasters on next time,or even tape in case it does it again. i don't want to end up with scarred skin where my 'cleavage' is. not sure what else they can use as its either a plaster,or a cotton wool ball held down with micro porous tape.

would you say i had a reaction to the plaster??

That's how mine are too Kay....extremely ultra sensitive to tape.  When I needed any extra dressings during fills I would cut a pantliner and stick it to my cami and that wouldn't leave a mark.

Jan, I used CVS silicone scar tape for my R axillary node dissection scar (2.5")  It faded beautifully and was extremely comfortable.  I left mine on up to 3 days at a time and really got to wear I relied on it.  They're paraben free and come in packs of 40 for 28.00  I'm going to find out today what my PS recommends for my exchange incisions...it seems like the skin is to thin for anything adhesive.  I'll keep you posted what he recommends.

Kittycat...congrats on no evidence of disease!  Whoohoo!

    Have a great day Ladies!

Kittycat congratulations with your scans! Good news :)

Jan I'll be interested in hearing about the silicone tape too.  I am allergic to all tapes my ps has only been able to use stitches on me...the only one I could tolerate was tegaderm...and that is the one that so many have trouble with.  Even tegaderm would leave a red mark for over a week...but without blistering and itching =p

    Kat...pantliner...smart :)

Sharing a photo I took in my garden yesterday....working on a watercolor...it's a Bearded Iris they come and go so quickly...I think it's lovely and cheerful...enjoy :)

Busy day ahead...wishing everyone the best,

Congrats Val!  They grow up so fast don't they!  I too am curious how long it takes for the nips to shrink down, I just can't remember from the first time.  Am back and forth every day about whether to do it in a couple weeks or fall.  Want to get it done with, but I can finally look even this summer in tight shirts!!

Welcome Lee, love the pix of you and your dog!  Good that you mentioned posture. Yesterday went to phys therapist to work on this one darn arm that can't seem to get full range back.  Apparently my posture has suffered, neck, chest caved forward, back and one arm range is only 30%!  Yikes. (due to nerve problem!) And I thought I was looking good! LOL!  My husband doesn't even see a posture problem.  So as she said, we have a lot of work to do.  So just thinking if any of you can, to get a check with a physical therapist after surgeries, it can only help!

Kay, breaking boards?!  What a great release that must be!! Hoping you get exactly what you want in results!

    Laura2, beautiful!!

Judy- Thanks- I think I already spoke to her. I'm assuming Deborah is whippetmom? She IS amazing. Not just all of that knowledge, bot that she takes the time and has the patience to share it all!

Katey - Thanks for the welcome. Wish I could say that I'm glad to be here (or that any of us are) LOL but sharing with everone else going through the same things does make it better! I think I need to go back to regular stretching excercises. I got a little lax with them after I started chemo.

Mandi- I had radiation and the skin did not hold the implant. It had to be removed and a Latissmus Dorsi Flap done with an expander placed.  So right now I have an implant and an expander.  Then I got a hematoma/seroma and had to go back into the hosp for that to be cleaned out and a drain placed..Soo..Aug 16th I get my final implant..hopefully everything resolves by then...
