Madison:  I love that if I want to have bodacious boobs I can still rock a push up bra and I have one MX and one augmented and they work the same as before!   There is only a slight difference in feel between the two.

MBJ - what tools do you bring to the nail salon? Are they receptive to you bringing your own? and do you still go to the inexpensive salons?

Thank you - I haven't had my nails done and may consider getting my own tools.

Madison:  I have a 550 HP on my MX side and a 397 MP on my augmented side.  My bra size is a 34DD but I look more like a C cup in clothes.  But if I really want VaVaVaVoom, I wear a padded, push up and the Victoria's Secret French Lace Sling that pushes them together even more, lol!  Because I am broad through the shoulders and the ribcage, it's not easy getting the kind of cleavage I would prefer to have without trying.  The silicone implants are great cause they move wherever I want them to, lol!

kward:  I bought two cuticle/nail trimmers, one toenail clipper, one buffer, one metal cuticle stick to push back the cuticles and to clean under the nails, one of those sponges for the bottom of the feet that I replace now and then and the toe separators.  I also purchase some anti-fungal base coat and Sally's 10 day top coat.  They don't mind and they clean them for me after they are done :)  I wouldn't call my place really cheap, but I pay $30 plus tip for a mani/pedi in a spa chair and they also give you a foot , shoulder & arm massage and hot wax which is heavenly!

    Thanks MJB & Dawn-hope!

Can I ask which technique you had?  My PS is doing C-V & I'm wondering how much they will shrink?  I would like to end up with a bit of nipple but don't want to have to wear a bra all the time, so I don't want headlights.  I hope he knows what he's doing.

    Cheers, Dee

mfrog:  I go in two weeks for my preop for my new nipple and my PS is doing the modified CV Flap, also.  From what I understand, the skin eventually stretches back out because the implant is still the same size.  Mine is going to do fat grafting, too.

MJB, I'm not sure I understand how the fat grafting works, but I will ask on Wednesday.  When you say it stretches back, you mean eventually they will disappear?  I guess I didn't ask enough questions at the planning stage. :)  Thanks, Dee

Hello ladies I am reading to catch up.  Have not visited for a couple of weeks.  As far a movement I am now 5 weeks out from my exchange and excited that I can cleavage now more like my old real foobs.

I did not have movement or clevage with the ex panders and especially with the side that had rads.  It was really tough and hard and up higher than the non rad side.  I would be happy not to wear a bra so if they don't move too much that is ok.

I believe mine are gummies.  I am going to ask more questions at my doc appt Thursday.  I was still brain dead when I had my 1 week check up after surgery and forgot to ask what size implant and if they will shrink etc... I need to make my list.    It does not get really cold here but we have had a few colder days where it was 30/40 deg and once I did notice my foobs were colder temp than my body when changing bras.  Weird.    I think one side is about 1 inch bigger than the other (rad side smaller).  I am not sure I would be willing to go under the knife to fix this as I believe I can live with it.  I am so ready for this to be over in my life and go back to be almost normal.  I guess everyone wants the BC out of their life but it can sure drag out.  I have still not been about to get into the photo forum from either of my computers for some odd reason.   I wanted to stop in and  you all for the support and words during my exchange.

Di - I am a little late in reading your post....hope you see this.  I think you should go to the thread where they discuss fungal issues....and perhaps consider the anti-fungal diet.  It sounds like you really have something going on and I would rather try to treat it nutritionally and holistically for awhile.  I tried to directly link you to the thread but it did not work.  Find it here:

    Keep us posted about this!

Mfrog:  I meant that your concern about the nipples making your breasts smaller--the skin will re-stretch back out.  They took fat from my belly through my belly button and injected it above my breast where the step off is.  It makes them look more natural.  some use it under the new areola.

Looneymom:  Welcome back and congratulations on your exchange.  It took 4 months for my MX side to drop and fluff (gummies don't do this) and my augmented side 2 weeks to do the same!  So you may see the rads side (hopefully) eventually relax and even up over time.  This is when we all say "walk away from the mirror".  So glad your PS did a great job.  Gentle hugs!

Looneymom -- foobs don't shrink :)  Swelling can abate... but at this point any noticable swelling will have gone away.  IF they are gummies they will pretty much stay where they are but soften over time (a plus for the cleavage thing); if they are regular silicone you can look forward to dropping and fluffing in the coming months (which means a more teardrop shape as gravity works on the rounds).

MJB, Okay, thanks.  I have 410 gummies so I guess I don't need the fat grafting as I don't have a step off, but when I'm getting nips on Wednesday, I'm going to ask him about it just out of curiosity.

Madison, funny you asked that question today, I just went out for the first time and tried on bras.  I was amazed at how much the push-up type bras really moved my foobs up.  I did strike out but am not worried about it, I am good with my "training" bras for now, you know those "no metal, no clips" cami type.

I was quite surprised after my outing to find out that I am a C cup or maybe a D. The C'd did not cover the boob but when I went to D's, I did not have enough projection to fill them.  I will be waiting for the 'drop and fluff" to happen prior to seeing a bra fitter.

Lilah, thanks so much for your help with pictures.  I have now decided that I am definately going to get the nipples.  I was going to poo-poo the idea but after seeing how beautiful and real they can look, I am again getting excited.  I am just three weeks post exhange, have two different implants. I have to get my wallet card to see what I have but I think one is high profile and the other is not.

Anway, I now realize that there may be a day I can look in the mirror and see myself as "whole" and not mutilated.  I thought I was alright with no nips.  I will have to pay at least 8k as that is my deductable under my stinking new plan, I wonder what nips cost?  lol!

Dorothy -- depending on the type of procedure your PS uses to create nips, it is often done as an in-office procedure.... so might not be too pricey.  Did you go to Nordstrom's to be fitted?

DorothyK - Like Lilah said, they can be done in the PS's office.  You won't come near 8grand.

Thanks, and if my ps does not, I can find one that will. I think he does use a hospital setting for that as I have a friend who referred me once I fired my first jacka$$ ps (did not need to add the intensitive but you get it, I am mad at him).

And I have not yet made it to Nordstrom's, I went to Lord and Taylor and tried on so many. It was exhausting. I am not yet able to wear an underwire and have not comfortably worn a "normal" bra since my bmx in July. There are all soooo uncomfortable. I have read everywhere that Nord's is the place to go for us gals, it is just a bit further away for me. I used to wear nothing but Warners, Bali and Wacoal prior to bc as they worked for me - my old girls were also difficult to fit.

~~edited to change word underwriter to underwire...OMG, uhhh, I am in the mortgage biz hense the typo lol.

    Thanks for your input, girls!

Diane:  Sorry about that infection!  I hope it is just skin deep and will not affect your implant.

Speaking of implants, I will have to get rid of mine.  I will have an LD flap surgery on the 2nd of February.  I tried and tried to put it off to no avail.  Alas, me thinks this is my last chance to get reconstruction on my left side.  Parting is such sweet sorrow!

Aw Brenda I'm so sorry to hear that... will you have the LD flap on both sides or just on the left?  What happened?  I thought -- when we last heard from you -- that all was well?

Wow, Brenda--I had no idea, either!  What happened?

Dorothy:  I have a High Profile on my MX Side and a Moderate Profile on my other side.  You might want to try going down in the band size and up in the cup size.  I went to Nordstroms for my fitting and for a sportsbra, but purchased my wireless bras from VS on line because the full selection plus the size that I needed were not in the stores.  Come to the Bra thread and there are lots of great suggestions there!

mfrog - I had the modified CV flap.  For the first couple of weeks after my nips I felt like I had a breast plateau instead of a breast mound.  But, things are evening out again and the plateu shape is becoming round again.  The nips shrink over time.  I don't think you'll have to worry six months to a year down the road about them being too big.  I'm just hoping mine don't completely flatten out!  :)

MBJ -I was really worried about losing projection.  I may have a little but having the nips are so worth it!  Have you made your appt. yet to get them?  Is your PS gonna inject fat into the nips?  Try not to worry, although I know how hard it is to not worry.  Peace to you, sister!  :)

Dawne-Hope, that's good to hear, I don't want to have permanent headlights but would like just enough to know they are there.  I don't know why I'm so nervous, but my tummy is just butterflies, I don't know how I'll be by Wednesday! Laughing

mfrog - I was extremely nervous too.  You'd think after all we'd been through, we'd be OK to get the nips.  I was a wreck.  Very nervous.  Don't freak out if they're too big at first.  They oversize them because they WILL shrink.  In about six months they'll likely be the size they're going to be.  Peace to you too, mfrog!  In 48 hours you'll have lovely new nips!  Laughing

Update Ladies - Had T/E on right side with fat grafting and alloderm....Jan 7th, he also fixed ab problem but will have to return, it goes deeper than he thought but wow, what wonderful relief he gave me now, took nodule out of left side (left breast) as well as closed my hole on left hip.  I opted to have the twilight and that was a very different experience for me, enjoyed it and no pain and they were a great staff to deal with...feeling good, however I have a major rash, looks like hives on all the incision sites, they used steri strips and some sort of glue, and I believe I'm have a reaction to this, using benedryl and cream and thats helping have follow up this thusday, anyone have any advice about the rash. (goes beyond the incision sites and seems to be traveling under right breast, fine rash then sometimes hive like red and inflamed, trying to weear only cotton and I haven't changed anything, it could possible be all the stress I encountered as well from the 2nd week of Dec. thru last week, seems like it just came out out of no where, but right after things calmed down.....hope you all are well....(((((hugs))))))

    Hey Steph,

You may want to call the ps and report that rash. It is probably nothing but I would call. I am very allergic to adhesive and it is probably related but I would call anyway.  Maybe the doc can call in an RX.

I hope you are well, my dear friend.  Take care and have a blessed day!! I missed you here!

    Dorothy

ps...peace and love to all of you gals!!
