Jackie, thank goodness you are okay. That sounds very scary to me. We had a mircoburst once and the damage was awful....would hate to see what a tornado would do. All is well here...it is me and the cat. Paul will come home early and we will go to services. I am not a consistently attending Catholic, but Good Friday's services are so thoughtful and it brings me back to my childhood when we hung at church nearly the whole day
Have a good Easter for those who celebrate. DD is hosting. Her house is like a dollhouse and I believe she was hoping we could be outside to accommodate the group, but I just think it will still be cold.

Me again. When I was doing treatmenst for BC, strange events were happening at my school. A young son of a co-worker was sick with cancer (he is now a survivor) and the son-in-law of a co-worker was dealing with cancer that caused him to lose his leg. We used to huddle together doing bus duty hugging each other. Well the sil just did a film to show his work as a cancer survivor helping other cancer victims. Please take a look. His name is Jon.

zap.. thanks for sharing that. I had to share it with my DS who is a semi-pro cycler. Very inspirational.
Hope everyone is finding something to enjoy with this yucky weather! Our DS and DIL are here from Charlotte and they are "freezing". Poor things. I took them over to the health club yesterday and we spent 3 hours working out and swimming. They are both avid Yoga people so I went to a class with them. Loved it, even though the Yoga instructor kept having to make little trips back to my corner hiding place to straighten out my alignment. She had a lot of patience and my DS said he loved NOT being the distraction himself as he usually is. Me? A distraction?

Shouldn't it be called "MovePrep" instead of "MoviPrep." I feel the latter should come with popcorn, raisonettes and a large soda.0

OMG can this rain stop now.....it is pouring here and lighting all over the place. My poor pond is over flowing now and thank goodness I still have the net on to hold them back. lol Can you tell me what happened to our spring??? Just a quick drive by hi to all. Been very busy at school...count down now to summer break 32 more days.
Jackie...so glad to hear that all is well at home. that must have been scary for you. I had a micro bust by me a couple of years ago. It blew my heavy metal table across my yard and broke my huge pine tree in half. Now that was very scary....
Happy Birthday Mak Mak I hope you enjoy your very special day.!!!!!!!!!!
Zap ....love the video. Coloring eggs today, baking cookies and cooking for Sunday. And you know all that food will be inhaled in a couple of hours. lol Enjoy your day.
Joan....I love reflexology!!! It makes you feel like a new person.
Lago...love the new hair color...it looks good on you.
Adey...how are things coming along. did you find the right md now? How is the running going.
Hope everyone has a wonderful dry weekend. Hoping for no rain Sunday. Off to finish baking.
Remember to be healthy...be happy...enjoy life.

Evening everyone....Dawne-Hope, we are awaiting the time period for the tornado alerts to be cancelled. They had the sirens on a bit ago, but I don't think anything was happening. Don't know why this is bothering me now....the past 13 years I haven't blinked an eye. Sigh !!!
Didn't get home or done until about 10 O' clock tonight. So, I'm going to go wash up and find some jammies and stretch out in that chair -- my favorite recliner.
Stay safe everyone. Dawn.....I'm about 73 miles due East of St. Louis, Mo.
Hugs, Jackie

Morning! I see it! I see it! Sun!!!! Ooops...never mind. Gone. Horrible storm here last night but we are fine.
Jackie...glad you are ok but so sad re: your cousin's house. I saw on the news all the damage in your area, and was just looking at St Louis. Wow.
Makmak.....Happy Birthday! Enjoy!
Have to cut this short....DH bellowing from upstairs about something....wonder what he did now??? LOL
OH......Happy Easter!

Good Morning!!
Thank you all so much for the B-Day wishes. I had a great low-key day with ll the kids. Then my parents and MIL came over for dinner.. ordered Chinese.. as always. Got a Kindle from my DH, so loaded my first book and will hopefully like using it. I like the real books so I can go back and forth between the pages.. but maybe I'll like it.. My kids got me a spa package.. 4 days of different treatments. I am happy and uncomfortable with that one.. as I've stayed away from places like that since getting pregnant over 2 years ago.. but maybe I'll like it.. my DD said she may join me.. then it will be fun!!
Waiting for this dreary weather to go away already... Where is Spring??? Jackie, hopefully all that is behind your area for good!!
Happy Easter to those who celebrate!!!

Happy Birthday Mak! It sounds like you had nice time with the family. I have a Kindle and I love it. I am a fan of real books too, but the bottom line for me is the story anyway. My dad and in-laws now have Kindles too and they love them. We share books between them sometimes, which is convenient and a savings. You can only do that with certain books though.
The spa certificates sound awesome. I'm not a big massage fan - I always worry they're going to hurt my shoulder, but I do enjoy a light massage, particularly legs and feet. Sharing a spa day with your DD will be a blast. You can do facials and manicures if the massage stuff isn't your thing either.
I just watched a video of the terrible weather hitting the St. Louis airport. Hope everyone is okay down there. I love storms, but not when they're causing real damage!
My DD is coming home today and we'll do Easter with the rest of the family tomorrow. My kids are the oldest of the 10 grandchildren, so they are now the ones who hide the Easter eggs, not search for them. My BIL and SIL who are hosting tomorrow live on a lake so we're hoping the weather is good enough for us to go out in the boat.
Have a great holiday weekend, everyone!

Happy Belated BDay Mak, hope it was wonderful.
Lago my dear, I am permanently wig/scarf less from now on. I am not even going to carry my hair in my purse anymore!!!!! Onc said I have to wait until May to color it. In the sunshine it is blindingly silver, but in the house it looks ugh just grey.
As of last thursday I am done with radiation. But the yahoo just wasnt there. I have a peeling purple neck that looks like a whale hickey and honestly the skin across my chest looks like goose skin that was well done. I hope to be on more as it heals.
Easter Blessings, Onward

I hope you all have a most wonderful day +. Will be wet here, but that is ok. Even though I won't bloom well -- everything here at my house is intact....so what more could I ask for.
Onward, so glad you are done, but do wish your RO would have given you something for all your skin. I think they have ( hoping I not talking wrongly ) special packs that soothe quickly and help heal quickly too.
Mak....I did not get you a cake yet.
Hugs, Jackie

Happy Easter everyone. This is when you can eat meat again right!?
Bring out the ham.
Looks like a really nice morning. Hope those egg hunts start early.
Onward how exciting Granted I though you looked pretty good bald. My onc/NP said I could color it anytime. The color does take differently though. My old formula was too red and even after darkening it it's still too red. Rads is over healing now starts. I'll wait till you're ready for the happy dance. Just let us know.
Hi Dawn are you a newbie to this thread? I sometimes lose track of people/names. I still feel like a newbie compared to many how have been here for years.
So I'm still getting chemo gifts. Yesterday I got my first case of shingles. I know I'm a bit too young for that so I assume it's chemo messed up my immune system. At least my regular doctor was on call last night. Started taking pills last night. I hope I don't have to cancel wednesday's colonoscopy. Really wanted to get that out of the way and under my current insurance. I think I change in May.

ALL I NEED TO LEARN ABOUT LIFE
I LEARNED FROM THE EASTER BUNNY
Don't put all your eggs in one basket.
Walk softly and carry a big carrot.
Everyone needs a friend who is all ears.
There's no such thing as too much candy.
All work and no play can make you a basket case.
Everyone is entitled to a bad hare day.
Let happy thoughts multiply like rabbits.
Keep your paws off other people's jellybeans.
Good things come in small sugar-coated packages.
The grass is greener in someone else's basket.
An Easter bonnet can tame even the wildest hare.
To show your true colors you have to come out of the shell.
The best things in life are still sweet and gooey.
