Happy B-Day Jan...
I on the other hand, have the cough without anything else.. so yeah.. worried.. scan in 2 weeks.. was supposed to be on Wed but I decided to push it 'til after my B-Day...
Got my blood tests from Seattle back.. and my whites are TANKING.. I'm so scared that after next vaccine they will be dangerously low.. and baby is starting daycare.. Hopefully they will start going back up after the shots are done in 3 weeks.. Ramped up some foods and crossing my fingers real hard.. will get blood work done here on Wed..
Been rough on my own.. my parents are here now as my DH went to Detroit for few days.. so it's crazy and loud here now.. But, Gab is over her diarrhea.. I'll take all the good little things I can..

Happy Tuesday to all.....Jan I am so sorry to hear that you are under the weather. Getting a cxr is a good thing. I hope you are feeling better soon. I have asthma flare ups when I get sick. My inhalers usually will do the trick to open up those airways. I hope you are getting the rest you need.
Makmak.....How are you feeling. Low counts from your txs. Can they give you meds to increase them. Please rest too.
Rita....are you enjoying the opening of golf season. Did you get out an enjoy the teasing warm weather we had.
Wendy....Wind in your hair. lol Enjoyed the day in the city with dd. I t was fun. Sunday is our walk in Grant Park. I hope no snow and really hoping for a sl warmer temps. May need that winter coat. aarrgg

Jan -- prayers and wishes to the universe for something easy to fix tomorrow.
Mak....the same for you.
Jan....was thinking if something in your enviorment has changed a bit and you are getting intermittent allergic reactions....ok, any port in the storm. Just hoping that all turns out ok.
BJ....wow, the summer fun is just ahead. The green of new leaves is popping out on the trees here....and like many of you.....my nose is running and eyes feel watery.
Well, I'd love to write more, but Sears just called and Denny will have to go into work ( day off ) as someone called in already. Hmm, have to take him to work, work at the Shelter, get off in time to go to class, go back and get Denny, get the feral cats fed and over to Maggie's to help her. Some days --- and then she said, why did I get up this morning? I guess my middle name made me do it. See you all later.
Have a splendid day and enjoy the sun.
Hugs, Jackie

It is not just you Wendy. That is a beard....one of the side effects of arimidex!
! Actually, really now, for sure....that is a turtle neck. It was freezing downtown that day.Vibing with you Mak and Jan Clare. DH coughs so much and without all the yucky virus related icky stuff and I think it is mold. It may be the cat (that is awful as I love the cat). IT worries me how he coughs, but I am wondering if you girls are facing that as well....maybe no cats....but mold.

I have 2 cats.. But maybe it's worth looking at Mold.. hmm... the thing is I didn't have this before.. and cats are 11 years old..

JanClare and makmak... thinking of you and hope that you are both on the med. JanClare... hope that the chest x-ray at least offers some explanation. Makmak.. can you ever get a Neulasta shot to boost up your counts?
Jackie... in my business, I run into alot of funny name spellings, but NEVER have I seen "Jackolin". You really are special. Great story.
My follow-up with my PS went well yesterday, except that I am now scheduled for a revision surgery on June 15th with larger implants and fat grafting. Consider me a work in progress!
Love this weather. I am so darn busy with work today, but I am promising myself at least a good walk for lunch. PS lifted all restrictions, so my DH agreed to get my bike down from the attic garage this morning. Then, I really hope to get in the pool this evening. Swimming helps so much with my minor lymphedema.
Hope that everyone else has a chance to enjoy the sunny weather. Zap... now many more days?? Oh, who's counting!

Quick check-in- thanks for all the positive vibes. The doctor says that my lungs are "clear".
They are leaning towards the belief that I just have a recurring infection. I'm on Zithromax, plus they gave me a rescue inhaler (which I have only used something like this about 15 years ago when I had "exercise induced asthma" for a very short time) to relieve the spasms if they get too bad. (Interesting- BC.org does not recognise how to spell "asthma" and does not have a suggestion on how to spell it...)Thank you for being there- I knew you would "get" that little nagging concern I had! Bless you all.

Hi all
I have a dear friend who is a customer service mgr and we have sent "Name of the Day" emails back and forth over the years. No text- just the name. Sends me into giggles ever time.
Some of our favorites:
-Twila Miracle
-Cari Miluggage. (joke? not sure- but that's how the email was signed)
-Matu Hari
-Beatrice Ware. (I can guess she did not prefer Bea....)
Me update; Surgery scheduled for May 6. I'm just in the "get-it-done" mode at this point and am busy making all requisite appts, arranging things at work, childcare etc. Wishing I had a magical remote and could just hit the fast forward button and be looking at this in the rear view mirror. Next few weeks are frantic with kid activities, birthdays, Easter, so I suppose that will help. Trying to up my running schedule and get into whatever shape I can before then.
Welcome to all the new members....

Julie-! My hubby and I have the same thing going on from our business- sometimes you just have to wonder. My two favorites:
Dick Fondel
Ima Nutter
Actually our personal favorite that we both remember with a shudder is: Vera Happy. She wasn't. Had to be one of the meanest, nastiest people we ever worked with.

PS- forgot to say that I'm glad things are progressing with your surgery. I'm sure being busy means it will all soon be behind you...

Glad Jan your lungs are clear! The Onc in Seattle told me the same.. so I'm not as petrified.. and my cough is worse when I get tired or talk too much..(and if you know me.. that's often.. LOL)..
My favorite is Julia Gulia.. She works at the Walgreens by Jan, Laura and Me.. When I saw her name tag I burst into giggles.. hopefully she didn't see it...

Jan - Glad the lungs are clear!
Julie - Glad you are finding some time to laugh...hang in there.
makmak - Hang in there, too!

As for house mold/lung issues - there are companies that will check for it. Also, Radon levels (air quality) can be checked. I believe both can be self checked with inexpensive kits from Home Depot, et al.

Great news about WendyTY! She has been so strong through this all - I am so glad she is getting good news!
We were at a funeral once and the funeral director was named Clayton Glum. It totally fit him too.
Glad you are all scheduled Julie! Get er done!
Hope those coughs go away girls. My DH is a cougher and it is so frustrating.
Off to play JJ - I will never tell my secrets! Just kidding - pure luck!

Hmmm, guess I will add to the name pile. I went to school with a sister and brother
Harold and Janet Outhouse. Two of the brightest people ever. Guess they knew they had to stand out for something besides their name. I don't know about Harold, but Janet changed her last name when she got out of school and can't say I blamed her.
See you all tomorrow.
Hugs, Jackie

Hi everyone,
I just got back from an overnight trip to Bloomington. We stayed at the new Marriott and it was really nice. I didn't see Ritajean though.. too bad, I could have used some restaurant advice. I had to laugh when someone said something about rush hour yesterday - compared to Chicago it was like driving around the mall parking lot. LOL It was nice to get away and the weather was great. Love that sun.
I hope everyone starts to feel better and we can all get together soon. Still job hunting. My best to everyone.

Okay. I had a friend way back and her grampa's name was....

Oh Valgal..........I wish I would have known that you were in town! Yes, I bet you saw a big difference between our rush hour and yours! LOL We're pretty "low-keyed" around here.
I'm enjoyinig your unique names. We have a man at the golf course whose name is Elmo Munster. He's a really neat guy but I bet he took lots of razzing about his name when that TV show was popular.
It's supposed to be nice here today. I've got a library run to make and then have to get dinner ready to take to a friend of mine who just had a hip replacement. I may have some time in-between to get outside. Yesterday I just went over to the club and hit some golf balls on the range. It felt so good. Maybe I'll have time to do that today, too.
Right now I have to check the Jungle Jewels report and see if that Connie passed me up again! LOL
Off and running today.............Hope everyone has a good one. Enjoy the warmer temps. It looks like we're getting blasted with cold air again this weekend.
Rita

Good morning everyone and it is going to the 70's today here. Not bad yesterday though it was a long day for me. Had to take Dh to work......again. Work at the shelter, then to class for 2 hours, then feed feral cats, then back to Mt. Vernon to pick up Dh. Nice thing......and it was already scheduled that the Smokey and the Bandit tour would be in town right at 5 p.m. and right in the front of the mall where Denny works. So......of course we went out to look everything over. Did see THE car....that black Trans-Am, as well as the 18-wheeler that was hauling beer, as well as Sheriff Buford T. Justice and his original looking car. Denny even took my picture with him. This man hails from St. Joseph, Mo which is not so far from us. Ok....at least it was a little something besides the tedium of taxi service. Then home to do Maggie. All in a day's work.
Hope you all had a good day. Hmmm, Rita.....yes, we too could call rush hr. a very non-event.
Hugs, Jackie
