Karen - DD2 came home with this huge Darth Vader mug the other day... said she got it at a garage sale. She eats cereal out of it but merlot sounds better to me.

Beanie - so glad to hear all is good. I had a really bad mammo experience (no not the one when I was diagnosed) which I will not repeat here, but I'm glad yours is over. I don't have to mammos anymore (one of the pro's on my score sheet) but I have already had a couple of ultrasounds which aren't as bad but the emotional ride is about the same.  Yes, that was my last exam and I can't imagine not passing. It was supposed to be a 4-hour exam and I finished it in under 2 hours after going through everything a second time.

MrsNice - congrats on your double celebration. I'm helping myself to a couple of those celebratory drinks! My 2 year mark is coming up next month and in August we celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary... if we don't kill each other first (as my MIL always says!) Te daughter of one of my clients just got married and we were talking about our weddings... when she heard that we were getting close to 20 years she said we should renew our vows. I laughed so hard and said, "Honey, let's talk in 20 years... I just don't think I could trust myself to say ‘I do' now that my eyes and ears have been opened!" God bless those couples who can do that after 20 years!

Got a bottle of zin from my client today - he usually gives me really expensive wine which I put away for a special occasion but I'm going to open it and then look for something appropriate to eat with it.

Oh my .... There's the Beanglish! I really missed that. So good to have time to hang with your girls! Come on over and grab a glass of this delightful Zin!

Beanie!! I am here. So happy to hear that all went well for you, yay, I am drinking extra! Let's play a joke on Risque Whiskey for old times sake then we shall celebrate your awesome news. I can also share the fact that I had me box checked last week and got results of my pap and it is all good, so much to celebrate here, cheers, I lift two glasses to your two glasses

NM, sorry you are exhausted. I really miss your morning posts but of course understand. Glad to see you pop in for some heavy drinks. Cheers to you + congrats on the fat check!!

And Karen, you poor dear!  Come on in and tell us your problems. I am sorry you can not cry. I have only cried maybe three times during my journey but do not mind not crying, I just drink.  Good luck selling your shoes.

Stanzie, I am still trying to figure out your name. I am going to switch over to explorer and copy Goldie's/Kathy's hints and see what I come up with. Did I hear you say something about a straw hehehe! I laughed at your post... and laughed at fiddle dee dee. But sorry about the repair issues and also for your friend. I also hope her brother will help her.

Kathy, good for you hitting the likker before pau hana! I am sooooo jealoous. I don't think you said when you leave for the cruise and when you come back. Come on girl, we need your full itinerary. I miss our happy hours drinks, boo hoo. And OMG, i lmao at your DH and his free french booze!!

Kymn, how are you dear? I don't think I overlooked any posts from you with an update but sure hope you are feeling good. Is it just one more for you after today? I recall you saying that you would be done around the same time I get my implant back which I am "eligible" for early June. I hope you will be done soon.

I see new posts have updated but know if I refresh, everything I wrote goes wooosh, then gone, learned not to do that. May have a word on 1500 to say once I review updates here going back an hour, since that is how long it took me to type. It is thirstdey so I drank, it is the only medicine for me, hell yeah!

Hope to see you all and my mia friend in the lounge,  I will be basking in the sunshine....CheerS!!!

Just popping in to have a toast with ya all. BEANZ.......SEE? All that worrying for nothing! So glad you have Ned to dance with. That way the rest of us can dance with Pants, Jocks and Hunk!

NM, glad you keep popping in during this busy time for you. I totally understand about being in front of a computer all day. It's what I do too. So do most of my posting in the morninng on my lap top while having me coffee.

Karen, I am a HUGE HUGE cry baby, wish I could share or give away some of my tears. I am a terribly sensitive person!

Stanzie, and here I thought you were such a good mommy...pbbst! You could just let your son win, ya know! I have to do that with DH if we play games, which doesn't happen much, but I usually win. Especially if we shoot pool. Sorry for the news about your friend, that's a toughy. I have no advice to offer on that one, just prayers. Well, you better get several of those straws, as is look as though more and more of us are tagging along with Kathy.

Kathy, I can't believe the time you can be on here, with all you do and your leaving soon! You are the amazing one!

Well, got some Lipitor for my colesterol. Issues I have been having in my esophogus, doc thinks is from allergies! I haven't been sneezing, he ask if I have drainage in my throat, I say no. He looks in my ears, nose and throat and says I do have drainage, having it now, I am swollen and have some "globus"? Don't ask, cuz I dont' know! But gave me an allergy shot too. I had no idea! Thought for sure it was gerd or my thyroid. But he wants to do blood work to check that too.

    Tipsy toasties !

Good Evening ladies, I hope you all got home safe and sound from the bus trip today. thank you all for coming and being with me. sorry I held things up for 45 min with my crying fit and nausea. Nurse said its normal, some patients right before chemo start to get sick to their stomachs and as soon as they walk in it gets worse. My nurse today said that some of her past patients will see them out in public and feel sick lol nice hey. she laughed she said its very real and not to feel bad about it. DH went out again last night for band practice said he would be home early to be with me and of course he didnt get in till I was already in bed. So I brought it up at chemo today and he got all defensive and stormed out...I mean really are you freaking kidding me, you just watched me cry for an hour not wanting to do chemo and you walk out on me. SOOOOO more tears then he came back with a paper and was quiet for awhile. Eventually started talking but never brought up his actions. I just dont have the energy to deal with it.

Anyhow am feeling ok right now, just tired and groggy but as of yet not sick to my tummy. Hope that keeps up.

dorothy you look great in my canucks jersey :).  I have two more to go . karen I too wish I could lend you some of my tears I sure have extra. Thanks Beanius...HUGS

Hugs to you all must return to my couch and let all the fatting food I ate today settle happily on my butt.!!!!!

    Love Kymn

wahine - your dog sure looks happy! He makes me smile! I'm in such a good mood, gawd it's fun being on a roller coaster of emotions, up down, up down, more dwinkies please so we can spin around and try to find the floor.

AStorm - dang we all have our hell to pay don't we...mammos, ultrasounds, whatever, follow up time is how shall I say, hard. So glad you are done with all those exams and sh*t...now when do we have your party to celebrate your success?... I will ask everyone at the bar to toast to your success tonight and tomorrow night and the next night and whenever you get the official results - tee hee! We know you passed so I say let's start the party now!!! LOL at your wedding anniv in Aug 'if you don't kill each other first' - that is so funny and that's how it is for sure. Can't live with and can't live without! And I'm so excited about your 2 yr mark next month, that is fantastic!!! We sure have a lot to celebrate! So funny about renewing vows, that makes me smile and shake my head, yeah, wait another 20 and see. BTW, I just hafta ask if you have any free vodka samples? ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! J/K but if you do please send to P.O.Box IMAGoofBal, Walla Walla, WA, 2tipsy2. And I'm not fussy if you want to share your zin. Glad you are back too, weeeee!!!

DorKy - Oh boy a joke on Risque Wisque! What should we do, wanna pretend we got her First Class seats or her DH's vodka? You are right, I'm still fuming (j/k) over that April fools joke she got us all on, so let's think up a good one to tease her! I know we can tell her Pants is waiting behind the bar for her but really he's giving Kymn a massage. ha ha ha! (Wahine, you know that really we got Hunk lined up for your massage, cuz we loves ya). But first Dotty, let me congratulate you on a good PAP!!! YAY YAY YAY! That is great news! Hurray for your box, mez still waiting for box results...My goodness, you are right, it is Thirst-day so lets order up another round!! Cheers!

Goldie - yes, I'm a very good worrier, more like panic attacker, gosh I just didn't seem to get enuf fukitols, but I'm better now, finally got to happy hour - whew! Ned is cool to dance with for sure! I think we should really share though so we can swap off Ned and Pants and Jocks and especially Hunk! I just don't really want to dance with Al, but I will if no one else will. That's neat you told Karen you would share tears, I could sure do that too as I can just cry my silly eyes out sometimes. I like to blame it on tamoxifen, but to tell the truth I was like this before. Thanks for saying you're a cry baby, I am so much that I embarrass meselves, but that's just the way it is. My DH seems to be used to it and so am I, just part of the daily routine, get up have coffee, vodka, salmanellos, brush teeth, cry eyes out, shower and then get to work and cry again later with a jug of whiskey, then the fun part when I get to the pool for a bucket of dog beers, then happy hour with pina coladas, then night time get ready for bed pop ten fukitols and out till dawn! Darn that cholesterol is still high...I hope the Lipitor will work, don't know anything about it. So sawwy about the allergies too, they suck, and I'm glad your doc is getting some blood work done...please keep us posted on what your results are. I'm just hoping all is fine and allergy season ends and globus goes away.

    Dilligaf and Titz Up!

Goldie - sawwy I bumped into you and KYMN cuz I was zonin out and forgot to push the send button...

Kymn - I had such a great time on the bus trip to be with you. I am so so so so sorry you got sick and of course you would have that reaction just to go there. I'm glad your nurse was so nice about it, it is real and just so glad you are getting to the end of this. You sound so upset, it sounds like your DH wasn't there when you sure would have liked for him to be. That is so hard and would take so much energy to try to explain to him what you need. I'm sending more big hugs to you and please know that we are here for you and totally understand what a difficult time this is. You are doing great though, if you can just hang in there and keep focusing on what you need, you are almost to the finish line! Please cuddle up on your couch and we have Pants standing in waiting if you need a massage. Anything you need here just say the word and it's done. Sweet dreams!

I did it!!!    Here's a pic of Pancho with his fav tennis ball--he's waiting to come to the doggie park and play with Sadie, Maverick and Molly and all the other fur-babies that will be there!!!!

Just a small whine tonight--my netbaby still at doc but is cheaply fixable--may be home tomolly--then DH is taking in the desktop and have some upgrades installed.   He was talking about replacing the desktop completely and I asked him did we just want to do away with the desk top and buy a good lap top puter????  I'd seen a tv show that indicated desktop puters were getting to be obsolete and lap tops were the way to go...........any of you have ideas on this?????

Dork--the B&B is kind of a joke......when I retired, we moved to a resort/semi-retirement community about 4 hours south.   The first week end we were here, we had company show up--a couple from KS; a couple from MO; and my sis and BIL from OK!   We all slept on the floors and sat in lawn chairs because our furniture wasn't here yet!   And,. it continued to be a popular meeting place.   For months, there was a dif car in the driveway every week end (we parked ours in the garage).  Finally, after living here about 6 months a neighbor called and asked me,  "I've got to know--are you running a Bed and Breakfast over there?   because, if you are, we have zoning laws here against that kind of activity!"   Now, I'd met this lady and we had bonded because she was also a bc survivor.....but I had to laugh and tell her that no paying B&B here--just lots of friends and family!   Someone found a little framed needlepoint that had a pic of a bed and said Bed and Breakfast......that hangs beside our guest room door.    So, my refs to B&B mean we're having company--friends, relatives, kids/grandkids.......and the summer season is the busiest!   Traffic might slow down a tad because we sold our pontoon boat recently--we can rent from our marina, but once the kids realize they need to chip in for the rental I think their fun days of boating are over!!!   LOL!!!

I'm getting a head start on TGIF!!!!     and am laffin' and snortin' all over DH's desktop 'puter!!!!  cause..........to kinda paraphrase since I don't know how to add links to things.......

"Jose Quervo, you are a friend of mine....I like to drink you with a little salt and lime..,every time we get together, I have a good time.....did I dance on the bar--did I start any fights??------what a GREAT song!

I yam totally mellowed out just now.   Waiting for DH's reaction manana when he sees what I've magneted to the fridge.   (HE says I can't throw anything away....).    One of the B&Bers this week end is his first g/dau---she visited me at the hosp in St Louis and made me some get well cards.   (she was not 3 yrs old)  (I managed to get home with her drawings/card and am putting them on the fridge in about 5 mins--will see if she remembers them when she sees them tomorrow.)   Not looking to score brownie points--I just so completely love all the grandkids--

ok--gotta go find magnets and sleep the pre-TGIF off so I can PAR-TAY tomolly nite!   Tossing my own "thank youse" out there for the many of you who help keep me sane!!!!

Hugggsssss to ALL!!!     Chrissy--what is your stateside itinerary?    Hoping to catch up with you at Marybe's in Shell Knob, MO--lemme know, pls......

Beans, what a good post (as usual though...not surprised!)...you included so many girlz, and it was so funny! Liked your next post too...such good words for our Kymn. Just so glad you are feeling good now, with no fears!

Yummmmm Gail, thats a purdy asst of dwinks there! I agree with Beans...know you have done great on your test, so might as well start dwinking and celebrating now.

Junie, Awwwwww, Pancho is so sweet looking!!! So glad to finally see what he looks like...don't know why I pictured a brown dog! Give him a hug and belly rub from me, will you? So cute! Now please don't overdo when all the kiddies arrive....let them help YOU with things, okay? Funny about knowing they prob won't want to PAY to rent a boat!!! My DH has been looking at kayaks...even found one with a sail. I think I need to see that one to believe it. But it would be fun to have something easy to put in the water. As long as I don't tip over, I am ok...too much muck on the bottom, and prob snakes, so don't want to fall in. Have a good weekend!!! (Did that ML truck arrive yet??

Thanks Lori for reminding me that I have a lot to do...still getting clothes together, but you got me back up with your reminder! Appreciate that.

    BARMEN!

I am ready to work my way through the whole round of drinks.  But settled for some kick a** wine.

Beans.......so thrilled that all is OK.

NM....sounds you are on your way to more $$$ with fewer hours.  Now there is something all of us can aspire to.  Anyway, the training $ will help you catch up, then on to whatever shift you get.  Sounds like a so much better deal.

I watched the sunset over the Sound tonight.  Nothing going on work-wise, but branching out and have a potential consultant interview on Monday.  We shall see.  Some other ideas going too.

Got the La Perla bra and Jigsaw skirt from eBay today.   Both are home runs.  I have to take in the waistline of the skirt, but easy to do.  It has the most amazing drape and is lined in silk.  Was never worn.  Just gorgeous.  I got for $21 including shipping.

I am so excited about my weekend adventure.  Probably will be offline till late Sunday.  Wish me luck with the cycling events.  Also the drive through White Pass.  Promise pix.

Need to get to bed now.  Still light out and past 9:30.  Summer is amazing here.  Just magical.

    BottomZ up. - Claire

Aww Junie, Pancho is pwecious! What a happydog. You can just tell he's a balldog and he has the biggest smile! My corgi always looks like she is smiling too but she stopped chasing balls a couple of years ago (she's 12... I think that's like 84 for us?). Wienerdogs don't smile like that but you can tell they are happy when their tails spin.

Hi Girls!!!!    Sorry I haven't been around but sooo many things going on.  The horns have finally fallen off so I am an angel once more....although I think my halo needs a little spit and polish to make it shine again......lol.  Got word this morning that the biopsy came back positive BCC so I'm booked for surgical removal on 6/14 so another couple of days in the city,  I'm heading that way on Monday as I have my regular appt. with my GP and on Tuesday I have an appt. at the Lymphedema clinic for assessment and measuring for a sleeve and glove.  I've got to make sure that I'm prepared for those long flights come September.

Junie, I'm definitely coming to Shell Knob, MO and that will be the last week in September.  Prior to that, I'm hoping to spend a day or two with Dotty (if that's okay with you Dotty) as I will at this point in time, entering the States through New York. I know you offered for me to stay awhile ago so I hope I'm not being presumptive Dotty.  If I am please let me know as I really don't want to intrude.  Not sure which Airport yet but will let everyone know when confirmed.  From there I will be heading to Nth Carolina to the Outer Banks to stay with SV then Shell Knob then onto Hollywood, Florida to stay with 3jays.  At this point not sure what the movements will be but I sure would like to catch up with a few more girls if possible.

Wow, it's going to take me sometime to catch up with all that's been going on, so in the mean time I'm heading for the Bar looking for something that's long and warm.........I mean a drink girls!!!.......behave yourselves!!!!!

Junebug - My gawd dat Pancho is sooo soo sooo so cute! He looks so ready for someone to throw that tennis ball so he can go fetch it. Thanks for posting a pic of him! I sure hope you getcher netbaby home soon! Love yer story bout the B& B and how the neighbor came to tell you there were zoning laws, how funny, but it wasn't breaking any rules to have fam and friends at your B&B! Love your Quervo song and how it ends in "did I start any fights?" so funny! That is so sweet you are putting those cards and drawings on the fridge! Oh you will enjoy them and hope your DH does too. Good idea to rest up for tomorrow's party, we have a lot to celebrate!

Wahine - I guess DorK and I weren't able to fool you too much, you are too smart, but at least we tried! Thanks again for being so nice to me while I was sweating bullets.

Claire - Wishing you great success on Monday and beyond! Great bargains on ebay! Sounds like you have such a great weekend planned and just have fun and see you soon!

Chrissy - It's so good to hear from you and we always knew you were an angel but glad the horns are gone! Now you said you got word that the biopsy came back positive BCC and I'm confused as I must have missed what you were having biopsied. I am so sorry it was positive, so I'm concerned and hoping you could tell us a little more about what kind of surgery you are having on June 14. We will sure want to be with you for that! You know our bus travels all over the world just so fast and we all get so small and we try not to bother anyone unless you want us to, so if you want us we will be there!!! That is so neat you are coming to the states and will meet some our HTL hotties. I am sure wishing you all the best and super safe travels when you come! Please keep us posted!!!

Karen - Your DD's magazine sounds so nice, glad she did such a nice job on it. Thanks again for your well wishes and I understand a lotta folkes dontezacly wead n wite beanglish, so me twiesies to makit likanormal poysun wud do, but deres jes somekina funny stuffdat comes outta dis wodkawacedwaptop dat I cudnt cuntrol. I do tink a lot of us are confused about all the name stuff...I weeeely think Goldie and Stanzie are the only ones who really know what's going on...ha ha ha ha! If they fill you in puleeeeze lemme know wasssup. So sawwy you are still in a funk, sometimes they can last a few days. I knew I was really in trouble when I totally was so funked out that I didn't even want a glass of wine, just sat there in a sober funk. That really sux. But sometimes it will make you feel worse so glad you are considering before imbibing. Sounds like you have some confusion about your trip to Toronto and helping to move. So sounds like wine is going to be good, glad you are having some whine and just feel free to whine anytime here! Sweet dreams to you Karen.

Stanzie - Thanks so much for your well wishes, your support has meant so much as I have been a basket case, but I think I can finally breath for now. You do have to read about how Kathy killed the rat, it is so funny. Sorry the symphony was off...oh well, that's neat you went. So I sure hope you have a good nights sleep.

Sweet dreams all, see ya indamo rning!

Oh DAMN!!! DAMN!!!!DAMN!!!!!    Sorry my lovelies, but I've just had some really horrid news about a BC sister that I reached out to a few years back.  Her journey had not been an easy one and today she learned and just told me that she now has thyroid cancer that involves all the lymph nodes in her neck! Oh Sh*t!!!  I've just spoken with her and all I want to do is wrap my arms around her and giver her the biggest hug but she is too far away, she used to live about half an hour away but is now about 2 hours away.  Damn!  She tells me that she is set for major surgery on the 5/30 so I would ask can you please keep her in your prays?.....her name is Junie.

    Thanks all.  Chrissy

Beanie-hooray for good reports! And there's no apologies here, remember? Freaking out about appointments and tests is part of the "new normal" (Lord how I hate that phrase, it can't be normal if it's new) and something we all understand. So hard to remember we will get the usual aches, pains and illnesses that anyone without cancer does. As for the dental appointment-good luck, I am sooooo dental phobic, I have to reward myself for going for routine cleanings!

Wahine-was it you who was asking if we had funky bugs in Maine? We do have a version of cicada, but they are rarely a problem and quite small. Apparently they have some trouble getting through the winters here when they're really cold. Don't see funny bug shells on the trees, either. Now if you want to talk about caterpillars. . . . First Class upgrade? About time someone noticed how special you are!

Toasts, yes! To great new jobs! I remember on one trip to Vegas we stopped at a place for lunch and ate at the bar. It was pretty quiet, so I asked the bartender what a couple of the really oddly shaped, interesting bottles were. Turns out they were different brands and types of tequila, and she poured out a little bit of 3 or 4 of them and let us have tastes-just a drop or two of each, but it was perfect! I never realized how much difference there could be in tequilas, and was a fun experience for the bunch of us who don't drink very much, especially at lunchtime. No worries about doing a Beanie at the bar!

AStorm---Can't wait to hear how well you did on your exam! I'm taking the GRE on Monday, signed up for it months ago when I thought I was going to stay in teaching, going to do it anyway since it can't hurt anything and it's already paid for. No more mammos is a definite plus for me, too! What did you have with the Zin?

DorK-I miss my daily dose of the lounge, too, but it won't be much longer, and I seem to be getting more stamina, so I'm hoping I'll be able to get on more regularly again. And I soooo love the fat check!

Goldie-funny, I'm in my rocker with the news on a mug of coffee at my side! What do they say about great minds? Allergies can really cause havoc in the body, can't they. As if we don't have enough to worry about, although allergies are better than the beast. . .

Kymn-glad this round is in and you are getting through, and we'll all come and throw your DH under the bus, then educate him. Thoroughly.

Junie-Pancho is a handsome boy, Sadie is drooling over him! Do you know if he likes blonds? I haven't had a desktop computer since 2004 or 5. I do just as well with the lap top, and it's more comfortable to be able to take it out on the deck or the sun porch when I'm working on projects. I have a computer area set up where I can sit at a desk and plug in a full size keyboard, all ergonomically set up, and plug into the printer for when I want to work that way, I don't see the advantage of a desktop computer anymore, but that's me. Posting the GD's cards on the fridge is a grand idea! I'm sure everyone will get a great kick out of it!

Claire-I'm in the unique situation where the training pay is actually going to be LESS than my regular pay. I'm training weekdays, and my work schedule will be Fri pm through to 8 am Mon, so I'll get an extra 8 hours of pay for being on call Sat, another 8 hours pay for being on call Sun, extra pay for each hour I work on Sat and Sun, and time and a half for every visit I make on call. Talk about your sweet deal! Yes, that means I can be working pretty steady all weekend, but that doesn't really happen all that often, most weekends are relatively tame. Can't wait to see the pics!

Chrissy-No more halo getting hung up on the horns now! Yeah! Sorry the biopsy results weren't B9. Sounds like quite a trip you've got planned, if you want to add Maine to the route you can stay with me! Or we could arrange to meet in Boston if you are going to be in that area. There are a bunch of us that get together in the Boston area periodically, I'll let you know when the next one gets scheduled just in case you want to add that to your itinerary. Totally understand if you're already booked up, too.

Karen-it rained so hard here for a while last night it woke me up! Sorry you're having issued with the DD#1 move, I'm sure you'll do what is best for you and them. Enjoy the wine, that's what we're here for!

Chrissy-so sorry to hear about your friend! That is just NOT fair! I will certainly be praying for her.

Oh NM, another purrrrrrfect post! Love the "dog class" on the plane! My DH is funny...whenever we've flown first class (whether pd for, or upgraded), he tells me not to look at the "coolies" as they walk past. LOL...cause when we sit in coach thats what we call ourselves...just in fun, not being stuck-up. But I look at everyone and smile, as I like people (well....till I get to know them, then I get selective...LOL). Great pay you are getting, and then to get more when you have your regular job....WOWSA!!!!

Chrissy, So sorry to hear about your friend Junie. THat really sucks. I am glad you are there for her (even though can't be physically with her), as you are a great friend, and I know you are giving her lots of support. Yes, will keep her in my prayers. And what is "BCC"? I do not know that one, and sorry it was not B9. When will you know more? Hugs and prayers for you too. Please let me know if you will be anywhere near me, remember I told you long ago you could stay with me too, but I need to know b4 we make travel plans. Looks like you would have enough bc.org gals to stay with, and be able to visit every state in the US!

Kymn, Well, I am VERY upset how your DH has been, to you. Wonder if he is having such a hard time dealing with bc, that he just tries to be away from it? I think we should have a "bad boys room" and we can shove (throw) our husbands in that room when they are not acting like they should. Just a cold room with hard concrete floor...no beer, tv, music, girlie mags, or anything!! That should wake them up!! Seriously though, hoping he "wakes up" and starts being helpful, caring, and supportive of you. Just vent here anytime, most of us would want to throw our husbands under the bus, from time to time. But what your DH is doing, at such a sensitive time, is just uncalled for!!!! Remember, DorK "knows people" and can send them to take care of him at anytime...j/k of course! Ya know I love ya, Dorothy! Kymn, hoping today goes better for you!

Beans, You are on a roll! Hoping you can have some fun now, before you go home. Your posts always make me smile, and usually am laffing out loud.

Throwing a ball for Pancho, well not any ball, his FAVORITE ball. And yeah it looks like Sadie is smitten with Pancho. Maverick looks sad, as he had his eye on Sadie too! Molly is just happy to be with all the other furbabies, and is happy as can be.

Lori, Allergies? Really? I have bad allergies too, so maybe mine is not from heartburn??? Something to think about. Hope the cholesterol med works, too. Still playing in the dirt?? Love your picture, whichever one you use, you always have such a nice big, happy smile!

Gotta really get packing. Lots to do, but wanted to stop in and say hi to all you hot chica babes. We have such a nice group of girlz here, very caring, very supportive, and always dwunk!!!

TGIF!!!! Dwink Up! Titz Up! Bottoms Up! (Just wish my weight wasn't up! LOL)...

Kathy, BCC is Basal Cell Carcinoma a skin cancer that travels the through the skin rather than invade internally.  I've had quite a few over the years as I have fair skin and when I was young it was the thing to do to go to the beach and 'tan' except I just burnt....ugh!  Now I pay the price for the skin damage done then.  The removal is done under local anaesthetic and by a procedure called MOH.  This entails the doc cutting what is visible to the eye and removing it, sending it to pathology and getting a report back in about ten minutes to say whether the margins are clear or not and if not, then they cut more.  Sometimes they need to cut two or three times before they get clear margins but equally so, they can do it in one hit.  Once the margins are good, the doc does the reconstruct straight away either by graft or skin stretch repair.  This one is is a very awkward spot, right where the ear meets the cheek at the beginning of a fold so it will be tricky to repair so I'm fully prepared to have to have a graft done for this one.    About ten years ago I had a very large one removed from my nose and unless you look extremely close, no scar can be seen.  This particular doc is very good at what she does so I'm not particularly worried about the procedure it's just a pain in the neck having to go up and down to the city all the time and I'm getting a bit over it.  I need sometime to be home for a long spell....lol.

Kymm, your DH is a bad boy! but I must admit aside from the drinking, he is doing exactly what mine did when I was DX's first time around but second time he got even worse until his sister who is a 30yr survivor really got in his ear.  After her little chat, I could hardly believe it was the same man!  His main problem was that intelectually he knew I had cancer but because I 'looked well' he just thought I was fine.  He now knows differently.  Perhaps your man is so scared of loosing you and doesn't know what to do that is why he is acting out.  Sometimes, these men are like little boys and all little boys need to be told constantly what we required of them otherwise they have a tendancy to go off on a tangent and 'forget'.  Hope it can be sorted for you soon.

NM, it's so cool to hear you so up about your new job!  It really sounds like it suites you to a T and the extra dollars are also a good thing.

Beanie Baby sorry I wasn't around when you were tearing your hair out.......but I'm back and the news for you is all good.....HIP  HIP  HOORAY!!!!!    Good luck with the dentist too.....I so admire anyone who can walk into the dentist, sit and just open the mouth and let them do what they need to do....OMG!  I have goosebumps just typing that!!!!!    UGH!!!!!!  NM you say you are Dentaphobic.......well HELLO........meet the queen of Dentaphobes!!!!!!

Kathy, I hope you have fun on your cruise!!!  and I'll certainly let you know about me staying.

NM, I've got you on the list as well but not sure what will happen.  I'd love to meet each and everyone of you but that would be impossible unless we can organise another get together somewhere convenient to all or most of you.......Kathy, now that's a thought........Do you girls want to put your heads together and work something out for say the second week in October? Perhaps the weekend of......now that sounds just perfect!  Please discuss.............

Thanks for your prayers girls, I'm sure they will all be appreciated.

Now, what was the DOTD?   I know the boys will know so I'm heading out to the hammocks..........and no tipping!!!

    PaNtS!!!!!!!    TITZ UP!!!!!

Well, fiddle de de.......we musta had an all nighter!

Kymn, you even made it after chemo! So sorry about your DH. I don't understand how some people (mostly men) can be so insensitive and especially after you told him so! Can you ask him to leave if he can't be more supportive, until you are done with treatments? Just to see if that would help (telling him that) maybe not really doing it. Anyways, I hope you continue with little or no side affects. What day do they kick in for you? Day 2?

Beanie dahling, the blood work will be to check the cholesterol, which I am told could be caused from the arimidex. So, for you ladies on that, I would suggest getting it checked next time you have to do blood work.......and we ALL HAVE TO DO THAT! He is also going to check my Vit D levels as well and thyroid, as those were not on my report. So good to have you back and happy, can SOOOO see it in your typing.

Gail, thanks for the drinks! That one in the back looks empty.....LOL. I think we can handle drinking for a month!

Junie, Desktop or Laptop. I love my laptop in the house. For work I like my desk top. I could do with a laptop, but I would want a mouse and keyboard for it. Hey Pancho....good to meet you!

Kathy, the kayak with a sail sounds fun, but I would be afraid of it getting away from me and not being able to control it!

Chrissy, that is soooooo kewl about your trip and meeting so many from the boards. I can't wait for you to share!

Ahhhhh, so it was you Stanzie under my hat. I was wondering, but didn't want to bother who ever it was under there. Candy and got a hold of it and fixed it up just fine....so no worries.

Well, since we have partied all night long, I am still a page behind. So will have to catch up later.

    Huggles to all!

    Hello all,

Chrissy - so very sorry about your friend Junie! That is so horrible.

Kymn - I agree with Kathy, either your DH is just also upset with your treatment or just doesn't get it. so sorry.....

Astorm - know you will get wonderful results when your tests come in - you are one smart cookie!

Beanie - so glad your tramas are over...

Well, heard last night my elderly choir director has shingles!!!! And the worst part is it is on his bum. Now how on earth do you manage that when you are in a wheelchair? Can't begin to imagine the pain he will go through.... very concerned about him...  Gotta run for now... NM- any brilliant medical advice?

Chrissy, Thanks for the explanation...for some reason I was thinking it was bc related, and an acronymn I wasn't aware of. I also was in the sun ALL my growing up yrs (Hawaii) and got burnt a lot too....none of us knew anybetter. (ALso viewed the eclipse w/just eyes, or colored glass!). My dad has a lot of bcc's removed, and just b4 coming here, had a huge place taken out on his shin...left about a2" diameter deep raw place, but dr just has him put certain stuff on it and keep it dressed for 2 mo, till he returns. He is very diligent about doing that, and I know it hurt a lot. He also gets them on his ears, etc. Hope they can remove yours easily and do a graft, if needed. Whew....you need a good LONG rest!!!!

Yeah girlz, if anyone can think of a good central location where we can all meet up with Chrissy, around 2nd wk in Oct (I think thats what you said), then lets all discuss this!!!!

    Gotta continue packing.......

WooHoo Beannie, sounds like plans are moving ahead for your eventual cabin there!!! Drive safely...are you leaving in the morning? OH I just had a great idea....you can get the cabin built by October, and we can all meet up with Chrissy there...just kidding!!! But if you or anyone else wants to throw a location in the hat..... As for me, I would suggest Tunica or Nashville, but then again, I could drive to those locations!

Stanzie--if your freind hasn't seen his doc about the shingles he needs to ASAP.  There are a couple of medications that can help but they need to be started as close to the time the symptoms begin to  be most helpful.  There is also a product called Lidoderm, which is a lidocaine patch that can be cut to shape and sticks on the painful area to numb the nerves that is very helpful with shingles as long as the rash is not draining.

Made a trip to the post office this afternoon....a couple packages are on their way.....

Got my tickets for Toronto....decided to come back Monday Memorial ....thought I would be too tired to come back Tuesday and go straight to work...my last day!!!...so I'll have a good part of Monday for R and R.  The kids have the movers coming in the afternoon the day I arrive...I leave early Th the 26th....will drive myself to the airport and DS will take DH for his colonoscopy..

Talked to Mom this afternoon...she is so stressed about Dad...I think I'm going to sneak in a short visit before Isreal....might go there instead of Toronto again, or leave Toronto a day earlier and go to Isreael a day or so later....only 2 nights with my folks will be enough to brighten Mom's heart....it is so hard.....I've even been thinking about just surprising them and showing up, or calling the night before and say I'm on my way....I haven't told my mom about Israel yet....so it just makes sense to me...No time to go when I get back as by the time I unwind, DD will be on her way to my parents to go on the cruise...plus this way visits are spread out....Plus my brother is being an a** to my mom....Mom said she had called my brother a couple times and he didn't answer the phone and she had a feelling that he saw caller id and didn't answer so she sent him and email and said I haven't talked to you in a couple weeks and he wrote her back immediately and said its only been 10 days, I talked to you on Mother's day!!!  My brother and his wife (note I did not say SIL) are so self-centered...Can you tell we are not close....My mom doesn't say much to me about my brother except when she is hurt....I wish my parents were closer, but my mom loves where they live in Florida so there is no way I could even get them to think of Colorado.....So now need to check out flights to FL....want to get it all settled this Sunday......

Tried a new cookie recipe that was in the paper the other day and they came out really good...walnut pralines.....the only cookie that I don't always do great on are choc chip when they are too thin and look like "lattice"....

Well, got about 45 minutes before candle lighting...going to go jump in the shower and try to do my nails....going green....try the polish DD#2 gave me for mother's day.....

    TGIF......Hugs...be back tomorrow night....Karen
