You will be just fine Beans.

I am just out of the tub, as was as cold and rainy as I thought it would be.  But was oddly euphoric as in Gene Kelly doing "Singing in the Rain".

However, I forgot that it was the day of the Haul Ash (beer ride in commemoration of the eruption of Mt St Helen's) but figured this out when I suddenly met a slew of wet riders headed for the turn off to Redhook Brewery.  Next year.

Hoping they didn't collide with the Beat the Bridge'ers who were trying to cross the ship canal prior to the draw bridge being raised.  I can just see this: frantic runner collides with cyclist who is only two miles away from major "recovery" ale.  This could be serious.

I was happy to get into my car for the trip back and then a hot tub.  Soaking wet cycling duds went into the wash.

Getting really excited about next weekend.  New place and two fun events.  I will be fine doing 50 miles, especially if mostly flat.

My pristine car is no longer pristine.  Not after my soaking wet duds and loading muddy bicycle.  O well................. - Claire

Mrs. Nice, lmao at you, nice to see you back! Don't be a stranger, ya hear?

Hello to Tori girl, come on back and I will get you your favorite drink!

Wahine, sorry I missed pau hana. I hope to catch you for tomorrow's (the day after sunday funday, I don't say that M word).

Beans, so sorry that you are going through sheatty times, I hope you feel better and come back rejuvinated.

I had a good day, my yard work is paying off. I had it lit up tonight with spot lights and little mini lights, had the tiki torches lit. It turned out to be a beautiful day. The rain is just now coming in. I got in the pool today via the diving board and I have still got it, yippie! It felt sooo good and invigorating. The water is chilly, I have not rolled out the solar cover but it is just about 70 degrees. It only went to 75 here today but was quite humid and I got heated up while working in the yard.

I hope that all of my friends here had a great drunken weekend and you all have a fab day-after-sunday-funday! Well it is 10pm, I think I see Raquel at the casino with Junie and am going to join them for a whiskey drink and some icey cold dog beers!  Cheers ladies! Sweet dreams...

Evening all...took a 2-hour nap this afternoon. Perhaps fatigue has finally caught up with me? Just hoping it doesn't keep me from sleeping tonight. I have the day off if I  need it, but this close to the end of school-kinda scary. Am thinking a warm tub might feel good tonight along with my Bailey's Chocolate Mint that I haven't enjoyed in some time.

The weather finally went from 45 this morning and early afternoon to 59. Of course by then I had no energy to go outside and try to do some more planting. Am hoping DD2 will just love to plant 48 impatiens in the brick planters out front. Hmmm...

Beans....The La Perla was on eBay.  No one else bid, so was mine.  Hoping it gives the bit of "je ne sais quoi" under my T shirts.  (If I ever get to wear T shirts this season, that is.)

Those are the new shades.  I think they will set the tone for some of my "go forward" look.

Will try to do a mini skirt pic.  Have to put it on for one thing.  Then figure out how to get it all to work in a photo.

Kristy......hope you get some energy back.  I needed a lot of extra protein.  Am fine now, but had to be very careful to get enough a year ago.

Dinner and wine time now.  Dorothy, you can join me tomorrow for pork/cranberrywalnut sausages with lentils.  Tonight is salmon.  I need to eat fish at least sometimes............... - Claire

    Beanius....pm me your addy...

    Dorothy and Wahine...got your addys.....

Dorothy...also have a funny limo story....my DS best friend, who I call my 4th kid...his mother was one of my bff (she passed away going on 8 years ago from an embolism)...well for her b'day, "4th kid" decided to surprise her with a limo ride and dinner at CheeseCake Factory...her 'bday was right after turkey day so holiday lights are up....so we went on a scenic tour of some great lights....but he had a headache so he had limo driver stop at 7-11...."4th kid" and my son get out of the limo and go into 7 - 11....you should have seen all the looks on people's faces...as he is a "little person" just over 4 feet...both he and my son were teenagers at the time.....it was a lot of fun...wasn't a stretch limo though.....just telling about the story put a smile on my face.....

I finally made a decision about Israel...I'm doing it...applied to a program for a 3 week summer learning.....now have to book a ticket and find housing.....they have a dorm and when I told the gal on the phone that I was interested in the dorm she goes "Really"!!!!  The gal is my age...going to try to use miles to book the ticket...so I will be gone the whole time DD#2 is at camp!!!  We will go to Toronto 1st to see older DD and SIL, then she goes to camp and I go to Israel...I have never done anything like this, including being gone from DH for a month.....actually its more than a month....we leave for Toronto on June 22 and get back to Denver on July 25th!!!  I am really exicted yet nervous....fares are high, and hoping I can find a good deal on housing...I know people in Israel, but not comfortable asking to stay with them...one family will be in Denver then...another friend said to ask if I could stay at these peoples house while they are in the states....so I aske indirectly...if they knew of any good deals on vacation rentals....Will keep you posted......

Got to take some clothes out of the dryer, then get into bed....Only working 1/2 day tomorrow....have the last dept meeting of the year, then taking the rest of the day off for working on Friday....guess what I'll be busy doing!!!!

Cheers....have a glass or two for me....after inbibing too much last night, I'll toast everyone, but will past on the drink.....Hugs, Karen

YAY Karen, so glad you booked the 3-wk learning program in Israel! Now hoping you can use miles for your tix. I know rates sometimes go down around Tues night, but not sure when more seats open up for using miles. Might want to check several times a day if you can't get what you want the first time you check. Awesome! Ok, ok, ok.....if I MUST dwink some for you I will....sheesh what we have to do for each other here! LOL....*hic*

Karen! - Congratulations on making the decision to go! Sounds really wonderful! Have you ever heard of Clark Howard? He is the consummer guru here in Atlanta but has a national radio and TV show. Anyway, on Friday's he has what he calls The Friday Flyer and you can call in (takes some wait time on the phone) and ask about travel deals and accommodations. He has really amazing sound advice. You can also look up on his website but for specific questions you really need to wait and call into him directly. He also seems to be a really nice man. I think he was a self made millionaire by the time he was 30!!!

Very sweet limo story and so sorry about your friend but what a comfort to her to know you would be there for her son! Now that makes me cry - very wonderful! Sounds like you and your friend were brought together for an important purpose.

What is going on with the weather? It is sooooo cold here! I mean cold - it is still May isn't it, not October? So last night when I was at the graduation, my home alarm went off. My ex went over with my daughter to see what was going on. My phone still on silent from the graduation. The police come and somehow the porch door is locked but the door isn't shut! So I know I was in a hurry leaving but ??? Anyway, another friend also comes over (just coensidence sp?) and my elderly neighbor comes to talk to her. He is mad cause the alarm is going off, apparently has called my phone several times and goes over to her and tells her to make me turn off the alarm. I'm thinking does he not get why the alarm is going off and the Police are there?  Just very odd all the way around. So I'm on the phone with my ex and I hear him tell the police it is his ex-wife's house and that he is on the phone with me. So the policeman gets ont he phone and asks me if he is allowed to be there. I say yes and that is it. So why would the police belive him? I mean he could have been talking to anyone, yes? So strange....

Good Morning Hot Stuffs! Couldn't sleep so here I am - HIYA HIYA HIYA - I think I even beat NM up today. Now have been wondering too where's AStorm, Kymn, Lori?

Wahine - loved your tip for the day "You are not drunk if you can lie on the floor without holding on."

And didn't we have fun at the casino with all those piles of real silver dollars and trays full of pina coladas...we should do it again tonight. Maybe some of the other girls will come too? Dorthy? Junie? Stanzie? You in?? What are we drinking tonight and which games do you want to play?

AStorm, I was reading about your friend and it wasn't from you, but the other way, which is that you were brought together to support each other. BTW those kid pics were hilarious! And your DD is not going to the prom after all? OMG kids are so funny. I always thought Molly Ringwald was so cute and that prom pic was a good one of her! Thanks for the nice kitty pics to and for your sympathies...I am just out of my head with worry this week, hope to be better soon.

Karen - that is too sweet of you to send cookies! Hey I was reading you were having some anxiety too. I'm sorry to read that and wish I had a cure...I guess ativan is a good choice. Hope you are doing better. I'm excited about your plans to go to Israel and will love hearing about them unfolding.

Claire - Your shades really make me take a good look at mine which are really old. I'm not hard on stuff so I end up buying something and then having it till it's really old, outta style and ugly, but since it still works I just use it - I just love a good looking pair of shades though. So may have to upgrade mine. Can't believe that price on a La Perla, good going!! So where's the mini skirt pic?

NM - I did not get a chance to tell you how much I totally freeeking loved your naughty kilt pic and the little froggies. You always get my day started with such a good giggle. Then I end up having to live with myself for the day and by evening I'm a lot to deal with, good thing no one has been around me this week. By eve every day I'm in tears with worry. I feel like a nut job, but heck, maybe I am...at least I'm harmless. Love that guy using electrified kids instead of a vacuum - hilarious! And used to turn water into wine - hahahahahaha! Love the steak dinner pic too and the little aliens coming home. Geawd makes me glad I had no kids!

Goldie - I finally have gotten to my tippy top of my healthy BMI weight, and for two weeks have been just trying to get a little but under...seem to be plateaued here, but maybe over this summer I can inch my way those pounds off???? We shall see. Hope you had fun playing in the dirt!

MrsNice - Congrats on getting past the 6 week mark back to full time, I'm impressed. I was afraid my brain was gone for good but little by little it has improved...however, I have never so many times in my life got up to go get something in another room and then get there and completely forget WTF I was going to do...I just stand there looking blank for a bit and wander off. Glad you are jumping on the lymphedema, as I understand the sooner you start working on it the better.

Husker - Hope you are doing okay now after # 5, not too far to go now! I wish immodium would be a solution for me...I just have plain old fear going on that is getting the better of me...last night it was so bad I couldn't even drink wine. Now that is bad. Fortunately I found my bottle of fukitols and that kicked it for the moment.

Chrissy - hope you are doing well.

Stanzie - we've had unusually cold weather too, can't wait for a real summer. And what a strange story about your alarm. Did you figure out why it went off?

Well today I'm off to get new tires on my car as the old ones are getting, well, old. I have to get all terrain, good quality ones for my SUV and it sux cuz they're expensive. Oh well, gotta have em. Then I also need a new muffler. Then I will be heading straight to the bar for some ativan laced dwinkies....thanks so much for all the support this week, sorry I've been a complete wreck and I sure hope to get past this soon! So let's have some fun in the sun and eat a hot dog in a bun then we can run til the sun is dun. Tee Hee! cHairs! ~Beans

WHEW! Finally got caught up with reading...but no time to reply to everything. Beans, I am so sorry for all of the anxiety you are feeling. I assume it's follow up testing? Which tests are you having? I hope you are able to get the results quickly and put this behind you.

DorK....yes I gave you one E, there are no I's and for your $500 you are suppose to ask for a particular vowel, not have it given to you! But.....being the nice person that I am, I will give 2 A's.

    Mitch, I am right?

Well, I did it. I played outside in the dirt all weekend and did not do a lick of cleaning. I think all did was dishes. Didn't even make my bed! And I still have not unpacked from our trip! Helped DH put up the roof on out Shady Lady Hotel. For the front half, as it will be more like a screened room, we used those plastic panels, chose the smoked ones so we get a defused sunlight in there for growing.

Will try and maintain now to keep up with everyone! Hope everyone has a fabulous day....whatever this day is!

OOOh I like the name shade lady hotel!

Yes Goldie - two A's are correct!!!

Beanie, - I'm so so sorry about all your worries and anxieties.. What can we do to help? Are you off on your own yet? I go next week for my 1 year check up..... My sweet lovely cousin who has been with me for almost every appointment won't be able to go with me. She has an awfully good excuse, she is taking her girls to Italy - the one who just graduated and the older one just made Phi Beta Ki - Ok, you can tell I never did as I'm not sure how to spell it. Anyway, I'll be getting nervous next week - so that is a new one - I can plan on when to get nervous? Sigh this BC is truly the craziest thing......

Goldie - Today is tires & muffler...then I gotz to go beddy earlee Tues to get up at 3 and drive for dreaded mammograms at 8 am. My post rad boobie is still pink and healing so I have anxiety about that and hope the results will be normal. Then have annual gyn. Then MO follow-up with blood to be drawn. All was fine in Feb, so why the worry? Well, I have developed this pain in my side that's new and weird...what could it be? Maybe kidney stone? So that has me most freaked out. What is it, and are they going to want to do more tests or what? I just can't stand all this medical stuff. Sounds like you had a super nice weekend, I'm really curious about what is a Shady Lady Hotel? I know I should know, but is it like a greenhouse or a sunroom?

I also hope everyone has a fantastic day! Goin for a dog beer before I get my tires on.Cool

Stanzie - Sorry I bumped into you! Are you only giving vowels? When do we get the consonants, but I am just sure I already know. Thanks for offering to help, just being here is so helpful. I think more foil balls too, if Junie has any to spare, I need to line my car with foil balls to get thru this! I will hold your hand next week if you hold mine this week! I just can't stand the waiting.

Beans......sorry about the no sleep and tummy issues.  It does help keep the weight off though.  I, on the other hand.......well, you get why all the cycling.

New tires and muffler are good too.  But check if you need an alignment.  I did when I got new tires and shall we say, got my money's worth with the coupon I had.  All that driving in potholed ski areas.

Starting chemo, most women stock their medicine chest, and buy comfy lounge attire.  I got tires, bicycle lights so I could be seen, and a reflective windbreaker.

With a new muffler, you won't be announcing your arrival into Seattle.

Karen.....of course, you can go to Israel by yourself.  There are some places in the world where I wouldn't travel solo but Israel is not one of them.  The course sounds really interesting and a good base for traveling elsewhere.  Dorm sounds like a splendid idea.

Of course, they want to book you into a megabucks hotel as opposed to cheap housing.

Definitely can tell I exercised over the weekend, especially the part I sit on.  Need to get moving and do today's weights and crunches.  BTW - enough of an endorphin release to help with mood too.

Promise pic later of me in leather mini skirt. - Claire

Good luck on your exams Gail! I know you will ace them as you are one smart gal.

Ok, this is baaaad....you know how we read so  many posts then forget who and what we wanted to comment on? Well, like I said, this is bad.....I also can't remember what I wrote last! SO, not sure if I mentioned this, but I did finally pick out a new netbook and did 2-day ship so it will be here Wed...really think I mentioned that, so apologize if this is a repeat! I normally would have been here earlier, but takes awhile to get upstairs with so much to do downstairs. Better late than never, right???

Stanzie, How scary with the alarm going off......and your elderly neighbor just didn't get it, did he? I agree with the "why did the officer trust your exhusband"....like if I have my DH call about something that is only in my name, before they give him info he has to hand the phone to me so I can give them the "okay". Could be anyone, right?? Aaarrrrggghhhhh. Yeah, it is totally weird to know in advance you will have anxiety before tests, after having bc. Comes with the territory, I guess. Nice of you to hold Beans' hand this week, and she can hold yours next week!

Beans, Should we all get on the bus and join you? Sorry, been so busy didn't even think about showing up and helping you deal with this. But then someone needs to figure out which clothes will fit me and pack my suitcases for the cruise. Is that a deal? Can't wait to hear from you, as I know you will have good results! Try to relax....breathe....   Wow that is a long drive for your mammo and other appts....hope it is nice scenery and not stop and go traffic. (((hugs))).

Lori, any updated pics on your wild west town?? Such a neat idea and so fitting out there on your property. Love the facades, but in reality are usable spaces! We sure have talented people here on our drinking thread.

Well gotta go and start some work. Is there any way to get semi-caught up???? Hmmmmm.....maybe I need to have some liquid refreshment b4 I continue.....  Hey Beans, I like your rhyme....cute...

Didn't quite catch if anyone besides Stanzie and I had cicadas this year? Anyway I was backasswards about their life. They emerge as nymphs, then crawl up trees, houses, bbq grills, fences, ANYTHING, and shed the skin and then emerg as an adult, which I guess is what feeds on the trees, leaves, etc before laying their eggs. The do a lot of damage, but apparently more so on the weakest limbs? They emerge in large numbers every 13 yrs. I took a pic of the nymph skins that they left on one of our fig trees that we had severely pruned in Feb as it was huge. The fig tree we just trimmed slightly is nearby, full of leaves and sm figs, but no cicadas...go figure. Anyway, this is it, and now we have tons of "skins" lining our driveway, etc. Some people at the yard sale wondered what the loud noise was from!!

Wahine....yuck.  Some of those infestations are almost like Biblical plagues.

Anyway, I did the "skin picture" in leather miniskirt for you Beans.  More good news.  My $1.51 Moschino Cheap and Chic pants I got on eBay fit.  Nothing like a wardrobe upgrade on the really cheap.  You can see my apartment and the Puget Sound in the background.

Hope everyone is having a great day! - Claire

Well Va-Va- Va Voom Claire!!!!!! My goodness no wonder your main squeeze is so attentive to you! Fabulous earrings too! Thanks for sharing!!!!

Ok, Kymn what are canucks? I'm thinking this is something I should know???

Gail - you will ace the exams per usual then we will all celebrate with you and Beanie who will all get  a big green hall pass till next year.

So, Beanie - I'll not only hold your hand I'll hold both, make you giggle in the waiting room and make sure you get a peaceful sleep the night before tests.... but why oh why must you get up at 3:00am? That is just mean in itself I must say. I'm so sorry you are anxious but it will be good to put your fears to rest and know why you are having pains. So which day is it as I can't go back...

Well, been thrifting... thrift store shopping that is for my son and the musical. Well found one pinstripe coat which fits beautiful except he is a .... well .... a bit well endowed on the backside shall we say. So he sort of pops through the back vent. So went out again and found another coat this one is a bit big in the front ( shoulders and such) but would still work so he turns around - this one has two side vents and guess what.... Pop! Ugh!!! Not sure what on earth to do? Poor thing is embarrassed by it all. so???

Then my on and off again SO brought over a bow tie for the formal outfit he is to wear. He put it on the island on Friday.... haven't seen it since. We have all searched and searched. Now thinking as it had a funny button attached so it made a noise if moved perhaps the cat took it!!!! So, how to look for a black bow ties... probably with the two collars she has lost in the last 3 days!!! Kathy you have seen my yard, hmmm? Such a pain this all is as it was just sitting in the kitchen not bothering a soul.....

Wahine-I hope the pounds don't come back either, but since it's almost all water weight it probably will. Oh well. I will be glad when my tummy decides it's going to behave itself, it's felt untrustworthy all day. I'm currently living on gingerale and ice water. Not like that's going to hurt me for a few days. Good idea to take a break from the condo, it didn't get into the condition it is overnight, cleaning it up will take time, too. No point letting the old homestead get neglected in the process.

Goldie-don't worry about ketchuping, I'm sure we work our way back around to stuff we've covered before, eventually!

Karen-gotta be careful of those REAL dwinkies! The cyber ones here in the lounge are MUCH more fun, with NO after effects! Good for you for deciding to go to Israel! Can I hide in one of your suitcases? I would love to see the Holy Land.

Stanzie-I'm not surprised to hear stuff like that from 7 year old boys, especially ones that are allowed to run around unsupervised. I'll bet no one is monitoring what they watch on TV, either, and look at the sexual content of most "comedies" these days. Not to mention never being taught that you don't just walk into other people's yards or homes uninvited! I've never been to an opera, but I would really like to someday. Gonna have to add that to my list of things to do someday.

DorK-I hope I didn't give anything to Beanie!! Or at least that she gets over it quicker! I've got some dwinking to katch up on, but I'm not sure my system would agree, so I think I'll stick with ginger-ail for now. . .

Claire-I can't even begin to think about summer clothes, it's still way too cold here! I am so ready for some warm and sunshine. Sounds like you got some nice deals, though!

MrsNice-toll house cookie bars? Will you adopt me? I LOVE those!

Beanie-have a big dwinkie on me, my dear, and hang in there! Every twinge and pain causes fear and panic for a while. After a while it just causes fear, the panic doesn't kick in until the test has been done and the waiting for results has begun. Gotta live the gift that keeps on giving.

Husker-nothing wrong with a good nap when the body needs one. A nice warm bath, or a good soak in a hot tub really helps the sleeping thing, That's one thing I really miss about not having a hot tub anymore.

AStorm-good luck on the exam, and be sure and drop by just as soon as you are done!

    Claire-WOW! Great pic, great bod!

Beanie Weanie, I too am sorry about your worries and will hold your other hand......can you drive like that!!!! Test time is not fun, but how I deal with it is trying not to think of it and carry on with life. Of course I do think about it, but try not to. I also tell myself that it is what it is, whether I worry about it or not. So why waste the time worrying, I can't change it.....so why not think the opposite? And if it's bad, I will deal with it then. I guess it's a denial thing? It's just a bad bad time for us, and can't wait for it to be over for you...........at least for now, as we have to deal with this for the rest of our lives! HUGS for you.

Kymn, when you are done with treatments you will feel more like joining in. Don't worry your pretty little self about it. I am glad you pop in just to say hi and let us know you are still hangin with us!

DorK, you have to ask for a letter, and we will tell you if it is in her name or not..........until you guess it! Nanner nanner boo boo!

Gail, you will rock that test...............sending you some good Ju Ju!

Oh ya, the Old West Town. That is where the Shady Lady Hotel is. Forgot who asked what! We have a fence we did, and on the inside, we made one wall an Old West Town front. The 2 buildings down on the end are real usable space. The blacksmith is my green house and the hotel will be for the grill and seating and half of it will be like a screen/sun room. No new pics Kathy...........will try and get some soon.  Maybe after I get my flowers done! You better get to packing and I need to unpack yet! We have those cicadas, but we have them every year! They are noisy MF'ers.  And when I would ride by them on my quad, they scream at you!

Mitch.........Canucks is a team in Canada, I think for hockey. Ooops.........just saw Kymn's post! So sorry you having such trouble with the suit.

Ok, I need a drink......................Jocks? Pants? Hunk? Skate? ...............oh I see Sugar, "Sugar dear, could I get a few dog beers pa leeze.............I know Junie is hanging around here somewhere and would like one. Which reminds me..........NM, I love the picture of our Powder Room! That was the BEST and even has drinks!

    Happy POW HANNA! LOL

NM, I love your cartoon about not retaining water, but retaining food!!! That MUST be my problem...LOL.

Lori, Usually we have just a few cicadas, but every 13 yrs is when they just take over and there are a million gazillion of those suckers. Do you have the big surge of them this yr too? I agree...I *try* not to worry, until (if) there is bad news. Learned that when I was very young and married and hubby at the time was an alcoholic...I used to worry so much...then decided that it was his choice to do that, and if he gets into a wreck (which he did)...I would worry about it then. Was less stressful that way...then when I had enough I divorced him! But yeah, hoping Beans can relax some and not get too stressed. Hard to do though when you have a pain involved....hoping it is something simple to take care of Beans!!! Even though you will be soooo tired when you get home, please let us know how you are....okay?

Taking Lori's advice and starting to pack...found some long dresses I like, some dressy, so will start with that. I think (well I know!) I have gained weight every year, and so cannot take the same clothes from 1 cruise to the next. That sucks!!! No one to blame but myself though, cause after all... I am retaining food!!! LOL.

    Ciao!

Yeah, the gift that keeps on giving. I was trying not to "talk about it" on the posts cuz I feel like a nut job, but I actually feel better trying to express how eff'in eff'd up I feel, so thanks for letting me rant my eff'in head off like a eff'in nut job for a while. This all sux so bad! And I think I better check my bed! I love the Hurry up and Wait DOTD and think I will have mine with a gallon of extra bitter lemon!

Goldie - Thanks so much for your understanding and for holding my hand. I know we're not posta say sorry here, but sorry for being such a freakazoid about this, seems like for months...test time is awful and proly I gave myself an ulcer from worry. I hope with time I will be more calm about it, or I will need a lot more fukitols. You are right, whatever there is I will deal with it. Blahhhhh! I think I had more fun on chemo, cuz at least them I was in treatment, now I just feel like I'm waiting to see...did it work? Fukitol, fukitol, oh where art thou fukitol?

Ok Beans, Loading the bus right now. The wenches are filling the likker cabinet, and the TT's are getting some shut-eye so they can drive all night. Thank you, thank you, thank you....I wondered what to do with all the cicadas! Will just ask Karen to share the addys of all who requested cookies....and they can get a surprise box of cicadas too! What a good idea; knew I could count on you...LOL. And I was ROFLMAO about all your "eff'd up" and "eff'in" words. Cause it reminded me of the SNL skit with Gynetth Paltrow and Cee Lo Green, using "forget" instead of f##k....then when he sang the "Forget about you" song, it was so funny imagining the "f" word instead. Oh, I see you also found the fukitol fountain...hope it helps!

Sending everyone a big drink courtesy of the HTL....

waaahhhhh, waaahhhhh!!!   Jocks, can I have some cheese to go with my whine?    What IS it with our house and plumbing????   Today, we got (HAD) to replace our hot water heater.   We think it is prob original to the house and had been making awful groaning noises last few days.  We called a plumber that some friends had used and recommended.   He advised that we replace it.   When they got the old one dismantled and out of the house, he told DH that it was probably a matter of hours or a couple days before the bottom blew out of it!   And, OMG--the floor underneath it was damp and a perfect rust circle!    The plumber asked for some rags and cleaner and he managed to get most of that mess cleaned off the tile.   Always something!!!

Miss even a day at the HTL and no way to keep up!    Envious of a few of you who have such neat trips coming up!  BUT--soooo glad you are able to take them!!!!   Hope you will be able to stay in contact while you're gone and let us share in your adventures!

We seem to have one gorgeous day followed by two days' rain.   My heart just breaks watching the news of all the flooding going on.   So sad!

Grabbing a bucket of dog beers; will take a few minutes snooze in a hammock, then I'll try to go back and read and ketchup!!!

    huggsss to ALL!!!

Junie...... OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.  Yikes.  So glad you got the deed done before major problems.

Beans......also looking at weather reports as Sunday's canyon ride could be really interesting.  They are predicting August temps for the ride.  So will bring my summer cycling duds.

I think all of us need as many dwinkies as possible.  I get cursing.  Used a few choice words myself recently.  Driving in traffic brings them out.  I wonder why. - Claire
