Beacher I dont have a time yet....my pre-op is the friday before. Ive waited this long, I can manage less than 2 weeks. It will fly since my kids are in their last two weeks of school now and have something every day! I have really great range of motion. Not 100% especially after a fill, but Ive been feeling pretty good....I have the one side to do but I am augmenting the other. I hope youll be able to continue PT after surgery....I hear it really helps!

beacher4201 - I could walk all I wanted - was suppossed to keep arms down for awhile, but kept forgetting as it didn't hurt. Try not to worry - it's not bad at all, just take it easy for a couple days.

beacher: It's more like you shouldn't reach or lift or pull anything for a couple of weeks and no driving until you are able to open and shut a car door without pain. Unless they have to do extensive pocket work, most of us are without pain. Because you have shoulder issues you will hve to continue those excercises. Hope this helps!

Beacher - I needed PT after BMX, but didn't get "diagnosed" with an issue till a few weeks before exchange. I decided to forego PT till exchange was done, after all, I would be on more restrictions and practically starting over, anyway. I was riding a stationary bike (approved by PS) about a month out, it was still too cold to walk outside and I needed to do something...I was instructed by PS to wait 5 weeks to allow PT to work on me. I am now 9 weeks out and probably going to be released from PT. I still have a winged scapula and tightness in my chest muscles, but I am getting range of motion back each week. I go to the gym 4 days a week and do my arm exercises and really think moving it is helping. (I never go out of my comfort zone, I still "baby" the arm/shoulder, though). I think I read you are experiencing shoulder issues now? Talk to your PS about continuing/starting PT after, but like MBJ stated, the restrictions after exchange are about the same re: arm movements as after MX.

I got my card info from the PS. They are 350cc each high profile mentors. I know they need to settle but looking at others stats here and on the pic website I wonder if I shld've gone a little bigger. I tried on a 36c bra real quick that my friend gave me as a gift(it was slightly padded) and it fit pretty well. I go for a Nordstrom fitting Fri. We'll see. Thanks for the website forum pics tips... it helped a lot. I just need to be patient and get used to my real foobs. My TE's sat so high and were so big..I felt like they entered the room before I did! So the implants are a big change from them.

Rowen - it is "fresh" here for sure. A bit of heat would be nice, but I'm going to be careful what i ask for as the summer is supposed to be very hot when it does get going. The big lake beside the town lends to the humidity as well.
TinaT- thanks for the heads up, I'll make sure I check it out more often.
Tara40 - lol @ hot dog buns.
I've just signed on to the pic forum. It's helping me alot emotionally.
Thanks to you all, you keep my spirits thats for sure.

Shannon: The TE's really look like a bad boob job at the least on most. My DH was so afraid I would tip over from the size and weight of them after my exchange, but even though they measure huge, I fit in anywear from a 34DD-36C-D and they look like a C.

Shannon -- glad you are finding it easier to navigate the picture forum

Pitpat -- that is just so lovely to hear! Glad it is helping!

I went to my pre-op appt just last week and my PS said that she will not be able to finish everything she wanted in my up-coming surgery next week! I was really hoping to be done but she said that she needs to lift the implants on both sides so lots more stitches on the inside again.
Anyway she said that on my last and final surgery if my divots are still showing then she will do some fat grafting when she does the nipple surgery... Wish me luck. Surgery number 5 on Wednesday and 1 more to go...Should be complete byt the end of 2011 ...0 -
Awe Jen................ I so hoped this was it for you! I would be going in for more surgery myself... but I just will not spend the money... Maybe someday... I look forward to no divits and ripples... and to have them the same size......
I know how you feel..... and I am HOPEFUL for you to be done... I just wish it would be THIS surgery. SS...xxxooo

Aw Jen my sympathies as well... but the good news is that hopefully this one will deliver even more improvements!

My exchange is done! Can't tell much about how it looks until the swelling goes down but it is more comfortable than my TE.
I got a Natrelle 45-320, and it looks like my old 34C bras will fit once the swelling comes down a bit.

Wahoo timekpr!

Yeah Timekpr....good news!

Congratulations Timekpr!
I had my fourth fill yesterday and am moving slowly. Deep knee bends are much better than bending over. My PS says, though, this might be the last one before surgery--which is fine by me.
I've seen Nordstroms mentioned a few times here--is that the best place to go for a bra fitting, post exchange surgery?

Rowan -- Nordstrom's has a program where it trains some of its lingerie employees as specialists for fitting BC / MX / Reconstruction patients. If you go, make an appointment with an associate who has been trained. Just ask. The brothers who own the store had a mom with BC who had trouble finding bras when she was going through reconstruction so they started his program. Although some stores are better than others, most will do right by you and so its worth making an appointment. I would wait, though, till a few weeks post-exchange (to give your body time to heal).
Also if you haven't yet checked it out -- Val61 has an excellent thread here on BCO called Bras 101: The Great Post-Exchange Debate if you want to get more info.

Laura I knew what you meant.. You told me before that your insurance had high copays and that it would cost you a lot. Fortunately, I have 2 insurances and only paid 20 dollars to date for everything. I am certainly thankful for that!
I really don't have any rippling that I notice I did before my last surgery but this plastic surgeon just seems to know what she is doing..
Good luck to all of you who are scheduled for surgeries this week!

Holy cow Jennifer that is some excellent insurance!

it really is good insurance, Jennifer - I am up to 2700 out of pocket and haven't had an operation yet...

Is rippling bad?

Back from my exchange surgery...100 trillion times better than TE's! Pain is minimal compared to the BMX and last two fills I had. I have so much energy that I have to force myself to rest - it is too easy to overdo it when meds are still in the system.
After having big, hard TE's, the implants seem small and flat. They look great, though!
