YAY! Good news, Alicia! It's always good when you can get rid of a doctor appointment....
I still see my surgeon once a year.
Hope you are all doing well. I have been MIA for awhile. I am on FB now most of the time.

Thanks girls for going. It went well. I am in remission, YAHOO!!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much for going with me, it meant alot. I knew in the very back of my mind I was ok but at the same time I didnt. Does that make sense. I guess I just needed her to say it to me. I go for labs in a few weeks, but I dont see her for 3 months. I cant begin to tell you all how relieved I am. The Onc did help me with a few issus I had and I say it went good.
While I was doing chemo, my mom took me to my treatments. She wanted to go today so she could hear the Onc say I was ok. Plus she wanted to do alittle shopping. Man did we shop the afternoon away. I had a good time. Clothes I still have a few issues with, but I am learning how to deal with the TE and how the look in clothes. I hope you all didnt mind the shopping spree. I knew you all were in my pockets and Tink was on my shoulder so I didnt try anything on. I didnt want to loose any of you. Im sure my mom will need a reason to go back to town for sure, lol.

Thanks Sherry..that's a great suggestion! I will try that today.
Thanks Jo and Alicia for making me want cupcakes!
Congrats Paula on a clean bill of health from your onc...always a relief. I can't wait to spread out onc visits to 4 months..then every 5 months ..then every 6...that will be nice...not that I don't love my onc. but I am starting to feel done with doctor visits.
Have a great Saturday!

Diane - I went from every 4 months with onc straight to every 6 months. Maybe that can happen to you. I know what you mean about all the appts. I have my last BS appt on Tues - gonna miss him though - he is really handsome and the most caring surgeon I have ever met.

Tink,
It was GREAT meeting you! I stole the picture you took.... it's now in with my pics...
If any of my bco friends want to come to Myrtle Beach area for vacation, I would LOVE to meet you for lunch or dinner. Just send me a message.
Alicia,
Hope you are feeling better. I have been battling depression for some time now. I always feel worse around the time of my follow ups with my doctors, and May is usually the worst. I have my annual follow up with my surgeon, and even though I love him, it brings it all back, and then I always seem to have an onc. appt. in there somewhere. I go to see him on Tuesday.... I think it is because I know that I have been forever changed my my breast cancer dx, and life will never be the same again. That depresses me. Hang in there! Sending BIG HUGS your way!! Wish you could come down for a visit! I would LOVE to meet you!!

I still see my surgeon once a year, for follow up, and will for the rest of my life, or as long as he's still practicing... I love my surgeon, so I am fine with that.
I only see my onc. every 6 months, but I want to go to annual check ups with him. He never does anything, anyway. I get myself all worked up for nothing....

Alecia hate the anitdepressants are making you gain weight. They are realling good at what they do but unfortunately usually make you gain weight. Hope you continue to feel good.
At my DS this weekend, came after work on Thursday. Have been having a really good time with my granddaughter and looks like we are going to have a new addition to the family. They are not telling anyone because last year when I found I got bc a month later they had a misscariage. So they are waiting to make sure everything is going to be OK. It was a rough time for all of us. But I have a really good feeling for them this time around.

Dear Paula:
So happy your onc visit went well. I was thinking about you. I have my visit this coming Tuesday so I hope you'll all be with me (I'll wear big pockets) as you Ladies seem to bring good luck!
Alicia, glad you're feeling better. Worrying about the pills making you hungry means you must be feeling better.
Diane, I take one acidophilus pill each day and it has cured the nausea and the constipation. Maybe this could help you?
don't have anything specific to worry about, though some questions, but just walking into her office makes my heart start to beat fast....My Dad (20 yr leukemia survivor, having a big party this summer to celebrate! says that never goes away. He still gets palpitations when going for hischeckups...Guess I can deal with this.)
Ladies, a question:
I am having the mothers of all hot flashes since starting these lupron shots. Sometimes they even make me really tired for a few minutes, not to mention how embarassing it is to erupt in sweat spontaneously. Husband says no one notices, and also it's really really hot now here in Israel, so everybody's kind of sweaty, but any suggestions? I am not going to take any hormones to treat this, that's for sure. They aren't the worst thing in the world, I mean I can live with them, but they wake me and do interfere with day to day life. I have to stop and take a sec to recover. I do notice that they seem to be somewhat stress related. Like if I'm thinking of something that bothers me, I'll get one. This is just a curiousity, doesn't really help prevent them. Short of moving to Alaska (which wouldn't even help as I get them even in the most air conditioned places...) I'd appreciate any suggestions you might have.
Thanks, Shari

Shari sorry your hotlfashes have gotten so back. I was having them pretty bad and then all of a sudden they just stopped. Not complaining about that.
