Woke up to two surprises this morning, DB went out and bought us krispy kreme donuts!! Oh yeh baby! Calorie free when purchased and brought into the house by someone else! Rainy day but I feel like a million bucks, slept more last night than all last week!
Mrs_Vino, you can over see the staff in de salon, but we can't interfere with your drinking time! One bonus, polish dries instantly in the HTL, no smudges! Trader Joes is good for a lot of stuff, unfortunately we have state controlled booze here, so no 2 buck chuck for Scuby, have to smuggle my booze and wine in from NJ when I need to restock (frequently!) glad now that DorK's people escort me so no problems at de state line!
Gail, the rubber chicken feet is simply brilliant, wanna see fotos!
Karen, hope you are hanging in there, your parents are blessed to have a daughter who cares so much and helps, many people would be more selfish and be like I got my own problems to deal with. I hope you can help nudge them to a position of getting more professional support!

Scuby, 2 for 1 surgery? Not sure what kind of pain is involved in the ooph, but please check into that and make sure you aren't asking for more than what you would like to bargain with.
Karen, what can I say.....my heart goes out to you girl. Praying for the best solution for your folks. I would go ahead and try to make those calls, worst case scenario, they will tell you that they can't listen to what you have to say, at least you tried.

Lori the ooph is laproscopic (NM, may be spelling it wrong). Incision in de belly button and 2 little slits on each side of the belly. Risk of anastesia (sp?) is likely most so they are okay to do it this way. Still getting it set up.
Am up for de pj partay, gonna go shopping for something appropriate....

Scuba....I had an ooph and the recovery was relatively easy...fatigue was the biggest issue....I don't remember too much pain, but it was 5 years ago....I had it 6 weeks post rads (and chemo and bilat).....
Somewhat relaxing day with my mom....we went to the pool for a bit..then came back to the apt for lunch at 2 and it has been raining ever since....my dad can be real dificult....
hope the weather is decent tomorrow so we can do something...either go to the pool or out somewhere...sure don't want to be stuck in the apt alll day.......
PANTS...pour me a glass of your best cab or merlot or shiraz...I'm not picky!!!!

Beans....hope you were out in the glorious sunshine today. Had a tall one after my ride. The others were sports and sat outside in the sun with me, even a bit nippy once we started to cool down.
Just had a hot bath with dinner in a few. Pork chop with figs, left over from the macerated figs experiment. Should be delish. Some good Riesling to go with.
Life is good. Sorry if I am so elated, but think I got the right amount of everything today: cycling, pastry, sunshine, ale, bath, with wonderful food to come. Even great veggies.
