Kat - LOL!  I have to admit the back of my hair (neckline) looks so much better now, as if I have a deliberately short 'do.

And as you can probably tell, the curling has started.

It looks good. Have to admit I dread the curling though, much as I am craving some hair, ANY hair right now, lol. I keep having this vision of looking like my grandma (classic little ole lady with neat blue-grey curls).

I have not posted back on this thread for a while. I finished chemo in December 2010 and may hair did not start growing back until almost February 2011. I'm not sure why but my hair took a lot longer. It is still a little thin on top but I have had about 3 cuts and 1 colour since growing in....I loved my hair at that pixie short cut stage but this stage is a little more awkward. Hoping the hair will grow faster! I loved checking this thread through my journey.

Michelle and Rachel - looking good!  I've got you out-curled though, Michelle Laughing

Here's me today, 17 weeks PFC.

(Seeing your neck and mine on the same page, I am so glad I called to get a trim soon!)

Edited to add: are we wearing the same sweatshirt? LOL

michele the back is coming in nice I love the color.

Rachel you look great. The short style suits you.

kat i adore the curls on your hair. That is going to grow in so pretty and be so nice to just air dry in the summer.

Kat - you certainly do have more curls.  You're about two weeks ahead of me, but I don't think I'll be quite that curly regardless.  Like Carrol said, that will be great in the summer.  I love "wash and wear" hair!!!

Thanks, Carrol and YaYa.  Of course, that color comes from a bottle.  You can see the grey peeking out, I see it's more obvious in the back than the front.

Rachel - love your hair, it's about the length of my normal "summer" style.  I usually keep it pretty short by most of these gals' standards!  Your bangs look pretty straight - is that natural or the result of your hard work?

Kat - mine is a Patriots sweatshirt.  I see you are from NY, so I'm guessing yours is probably NOT a Patriots sweatshirt!!!

I am at 26 wks (?) and my hair isn't as long as some of all of yours. I think it relly is the herceptin. Anyone else notice a huge jump in hair growth after they were done with herceptin?

My hair dresser noticed after I stopped Herceptin that my hair growth increased quite a bit. I mean he was shocked.

EmmaC - I'm about 7 months out of chemo and the top of my hair isn't as long as some ladies here.  I'm on Herceptin, too.  Maybe that's it?  I didn't want to believe it but after seeing all these pics of great hair growth...well, I think there is something to it.

One more Herceptin left.  :)  Then we'll see what happens.

My hair was curly went it first grew back in then after a couple of cuts...curls gone and new hair came in straight. My hair is still a little unruly but dont use any straighteners etc...just too lazy. Trying to find a good shampoo now though as the drugstore stuff seems to dry out my hair like crazy. Anyone have any good suggestions?

Hi Rachel - I've been using the Moroccan Oil shampoo and conditioner for a little while now and really like it.  Sally's has a version of it, which is pretty good, too. Before that, I was using Biolage moisture and really liked it as well.

EmmaC- After I stopped the herceptin my hair was growing like weeds, my hairdresser couldnt belive it. I truly believe the herceptin slows growth.

My last herceptin is at the end of July also. It will be interesting to know if my hair will grow faster. I'm pretty happy with what I've gotten so far. I'm 26 weeks pfc. It was this weekend last year that I lost my hair.

I agree I think herceptin is slowing the growth.  I am 20 weeks PFC today I have  full head coverage, but it is only 3/4 inch long.  I finish herceptin in May and hoping to see my hair growth increase like it has for most of you.

I went last week and had my less than 1" of hair trimmed and colored with an organic product.  It felt good to go into a salon again and get my head washed and my neck massaged.  I am new at this photobucket stuff so please excuse if this posts funny.

I don't feel I have near enough hair to go topless, but I needed to move on!  I am hoping that the color will help me see growth.  I hope my onc isn't annoyed that I colored, but my gyn said that there was NO WAY she would walk around gray, so I ran with it.  I am 16 weeks PFC.  c'mon bangs!!!

    Wendyspet,

Your hair looks great. Mine was that length when I ditched the wigs and scarves. Got plenty of looks but I didn't care. Mine came in white and BLACK!! Expected the white, not the black. Rockin' the Jamie Lee Curtis look for a while.....without the body & money!!

Wendyspet I went topples with my hair shorter than that. Yours looks totally intentional. Just up the bling and you'll look like a jewelry designer.

Kym:  You rock that hair!  I absolutely love it.

Wendyspet:  I love the color and I think you look great - just give yourself time and you'll find the confidence you need to go "topless"

Wendyspet, you look like you have a real haircut to me. You look great. I M 16 weeks PFC and I rbink you have more hair. I still have some thin areas and I also have the Jamie L Curis colour. Will probably go to the salon at 5 months.

Kymm, what can I say that others haven't. You look fabulous.
