I have been back on my Tamoxifen for 3 days now and no significant SEs.  My issue is I can't sleep now.  Has anyone else had this problem?  I am taking nortriptyline and it is now making me so groggy the next morning.  How frustrating.

Jo, when I first started tami, I had insomnia for about 2 weeks, then it got better. I don't know if it's the tami causing the sleep problems for you or the nortriptyline. I was on nortriptyline a few years ago for a while, and it caused some real insomnia for me. When I was having sleep issues with the tami, I started taking 10 mg of melatonin, which helped a lot. I still take it every night, and I sleep like a baby. Hope it gets better for you!

Jo I had bad insomnia for about a month when I first started tammi.  I sure hope when I get back on it next week I do go through that again.

June, praying for you and your family.  I lost my Dad in May to cancer and it is so hard watching a loved one in pain.  Hugs, C

Sherry - Seems like we have the same things happen.  Both with nerve damage, now insomnia.  WTH is that all about?  LOL!  I hope you don't have sleep issues when you go back on it.  I am so glad it is the weekend.  Waiting to see if I can sleep or not.

CristlC - There is a thread named TEXAS. Please join us there.  Last year several of us Texas girls got together in San Antonio and had a great time.  Maybe we can do something again this year??  That would be so much fun.

Ok ladies my Mom has not begun the morphine but they ran all sorts of tests and they basically said all her organs are failing her and it is just a matter of time.  My family is huge and with all the phone calls back and forth and everyone with an opinion I don't know what is worse.....been a very long 24 hours since I heard and I know the days ahead are just gonna get worse.

Thank you for all of your support and love......do you know this is the first place I run to as I love each and every one of you and not sure where I would be without you.....one hell of a year.  Oh and my PT therapist told me that my planter fasciitis is probably due to stress and guess what I got it right after my Dad passed away7 months ago....also, when diagnose with this BS and after having my 1st surgery I developed major lower back problems and had to see a chiropractor and he told me it was stress related.....who would have thought?

Love you all and a big thank you!!

Love you gals and thanks for all the support and love you constantly show me.  Waiting to see my Mom but cause my family is soooo big they sent everyone away as they said she needs to sleep.  Not sure why we haven't started her on morphine yet, but we all feel like it is so final and I know she is suffering but it is just like my Dad.....one hour fine and the next few so horrible to watch.  Me and my sister had a good good cry yesterday as I feel like this is so much harder the 2nd time around.  I know I haven't really healed yet from losing my Dad 7 months ago, but her heart belongs to him and no other and I know she has stayed as long as she possibly could for us and I have to think good thoughts as they will both be together now and forever.....

Love you all and could really use some laughter tonight with some very much needed cocktails.

June - praying for you and your mom and your family.  When you typed that her heart belongs to him, I envisioned the ending of the movie, The Notebook.  Hugs to you.

    Hello Bottle 'O Tamoxifen gals!

Tomorrow I'll complete my first month on the T pill -- only 59 to go, but who's counting? I have Tinnitus, and I think the Tamox makes that worse, but other than that I don't believe I'm experiencing SEs. So I'm one of the lucky ones, it seems. (Well, lucky considering I got BC in the first place...)

Welcome cycle path. Sorry we have to meet like this but glad you found us.  As you can already seem we are a mischevious bunch.  All kidding aside, these are a great group of gals that are very supportive and yes, we can get serious when we need to.

I have had minimal SEs.  I have been on it a little over a year now and I think it was causing my arthritis to go haywire. Stopped it for 12 days and have once again started it.  Muscle/joint pains are much less.

June, hugs.  Thinking of you especially.

Jo, Tink, Sherry, Sandee, Shari, Odie, Paula, Alicia, and everyone else - have a good Saturday night.  I am not up for partying tonight - was in bed most of day, still not feeling well.  Got a new refrigerator this morning so had to unload old one and put food into new one this morning, so maybe that is what got me tired out.  New one is great!

OK, i will have one little drink with you, then off to bed!

JUne your wish is my command at the bar. I think you need it after the week you have had.

Paula is back, I miss her so much when she is not here.

Cyclepath so glad you found us. This is a great group of ladies here.

LInda hope you get to feeling better.

I have been on my tamox holiday and think when I set up my weekly pills tommorrow will go back to taking it.  My neck feels so much better even though not all the pain is gone, but I am hoping the tamox does not aggrivate it when I get back on it.
