Goodness Miss Dorthy, you are having such trouble, wish I could help with that, but had to have the kids show me how to work this thread to begin with a few months ago. I am as computer literate as an ant!!! Have another drink and it will all get better!!

Had the best feeling few days since Monday's first taxotere tx! Boyfriend took me shopping this morning, had such a fun time together! Started feeling tierd and icky on the way home at about 1:00 and by 3:00 was miserable sick!! All achey, and my tongue and the roof of my mouth are swollen and blistered-OUCH! Took half a Norco for the mouth pain, but it just made me vomit (I really need to change that script, happens everytime!) So I'm just on water and tylenol tonight girls, you all feel free to drink my share. I'm off to bed.

NM I hope you get a handle on your fatigue s there is nothing worse. Thyroid problems for some reason seem to go hand in hand with BC as does low Vit D. You'd think there would be some research into why that is? Hope your is running at optimum.
Ckgrayoh when they have no answers it always blame the victim so come on in and sit awhile and enjoy a drink or three wether it be in virtuality or reality.

Gosh I wish these hot flashes would quit, they cam good for ages and I only got ne or two a day but for the last few weeks, they seem to be continual, one after another!!! I wonder if adding in a statin to the mix has upset the apple cart?.............. Oh well, one day at a time and one foot in front of the other and hope that they settle soon.

Dork-You having comp problems too? I'll tell you what i'll get the shovel you dig the hole. I've been wanting to bury this computer for months now. I probably shouldn't be mad at the computer though,DH lost the disc for cleaning and putting it back together. It's really his fault. Ok i'll get a bigger shovel,you dig a bigger hole. About the bronc I guess it was closer to 2 weeks before he felt better. After the meds were gone the cough got a bit worse then 2-3 days later he was feeling a lot better. In fact he was feeling well enough to go back to sitting on the couch doing nothing,lol. Just don't do anything to get a relapse. GOLDIE-I guess you can be bad sometimes but then some of us will have to be good-just to balance things. Hmmm, any volunteers?...........Sorry,looks like you're stuck being the saint,too many sinners in this lounge. WAHINE-I got a good peek,and he didn't even notice there were some bags on a much lower shelf. I guess I didn't notice either,heheheh. Wahine--I hear you about the boring. I like to listen to audiobooks when I'm doing stuff to help pass the time. Many libraries have online access where you can borrow audiobooks and download them to your computer or iPod or whatever. Do what you have to to stay away from those stairs! Those restrictions are in place for a reason, so no cheating!!!!
Dorky, Stella, new computer stuff can be a PIA (Pain in the Anatomy)! Bad enough to work from home (although it is nice to be able to put your feet up and make coffee and take a pet-the-doggy break whenever) and not have the system work right. Can you start over again? Do you have tech support? Or would "spilling" a dwinky on the computer work better?????
A mystery solved! I was wondering why the tenders where unloading a couple of truck loads of wodka the other day. . . .Tidy--be sure to call your onc's office in this am!!! There is stuff that you can use to calm the pain in your mouth--stuff called Viscous Lidocaine, also something called "Magic Mouthwash" with lidocaine, benadryl and something else that works really, really well for that. And get that Norco changed to something that doesn't make you vomit, that makes all the blisters worse!!!!!
Chrissy--I am on Vit D, last check my level was in the normal range but not as high as I want it, that was several months ago, will get that checked again next summer. Cholesterol lowering meds are notorious for causing fatigue, and part of the reason I stopped taking Lipitor years ago (also had horrible muscle pain). Told my PCP this one was going in the trash if I got any side effects like before. Gonna ask about thyroid, I did get radiation and the spill over often affects the thyroid, which is very sensitive to radiation. Just what I need, another medical problem caused by rat ba$tard treatment. Anyway, I'll keep everyone up to date. At least I know the back ache isn't from bone mets--had a bone scan earlier this year and it was clear. Hmm, seems the hot flashes are getting worse and more frequent, too.

I am having some pains in my legs, and just hope having the 2 *tourniquets* at the top of my thighs did not cause any damage (where the tight ace bandages had rolled over and made it so tight and sore). I prolly should have called the dr that night to be sure. Oh well, too late now.

Unde, Ha,ha! I have several shovels and post-hole digger if you need them. (Notice I did NOT volunteer to use them to have to dig those big holes)! And maybe the TT's can help you and Dorkster bury those puters.
NM, Hope you can get some energy back, soon! My DH and I take so many supplements, and meds, and sometimes you need a supplement to help a med that might leach something out of your system. (Boy that sounded funcusing!). Like the acid reflux meds....he found out he needs to take magnesium while taking that, etc. I sure swear by my sublingual B12....but was so sky-hi at my last blood work, that I had to cut back on that, and can really notice a difference. BOY when I took 6000mg, it gave me TONS of energy. Wonder if that might help you, just to take that for a short while. Cracked up with the cartoon of the guy stuck IN the CPU. OH and that guy in the spray tan booth, does he come with it, when we install it????? Good eye-candy!

OK, now you got a teeny-tiny bit funcused, as it was I, Moi, K de D, dat mentioned adding a spray tan booth, after NM posted the orange squirrel, cuz of my orange legs. But then others thought of where to put it, etc. And the pic NM posted of that hunky cute guy in the spray tan booth is a KEEPER!!! So we all just elaborated on it. I am actually the foist in line right now to twy it out. Well, after dat good-lookin guy gets out! Enny1 else wanna tan today??? Hope your business gets taken care of, Beans! Ok, Loungettes, here's the report from my appointment. Cholesterol numbers are better but not quite as good as 3 months ago right after I started taking the Tricor. Vitamin D level is low again, even though I've been taking 2000 IU a day. Going to double that and see what that does. If that doesn't bring my energy level up in a few weeks I'm going to try stopping the Tricor for a couple weeks. My last thyroid test was a few years ago and was normal, going to get another one drawn with the next cholesterol/liver/kidney panal blood draw in 3 months (my choice, I could have gotten it done today but opted not to). There's a new GI doc that works at the little hospital only a few miles from where I live, she's making a referral for me so I can meet him and find out what he's like. If he passes muster I'll let him do an upper endoscopy (having more heartburn, have Barrett's Esophagus and am at risk for esophageal cancer, should be looked at every 3 years, last one was a long time ago). I'll probably arrange to have a colonoscopy at the same time and get that out of the way. I'm leaning toward this stuff because I'm having pain under my right shoulder blade from time to time, not usually after I eat which would be a gallbladder problem (and I meet the 4 F test for that : Fat, over Forty, Fair, and Female) but also I had similar pain when I had an ulcer back in the 90's. With the increased heartburn I'm thinking I may be brewing another ulcer, and since my Dad had ulcers and utimately went on to stomach cancer that's another high risk category I fall into. The upper endoscopy is the best way to rule that in or out. I'm also getting a referral to a local PS to have a mole taken off my face. I told my PCP that it was changing (it's been there since I was born and I don't think it's ever changed, but if I say that it becomes medical and not cosmetic surgery). I've always wanted it off, figure now's as good a time as any, and while it will involve needles, it won't involve an IV and I can drug myself silly with xanax before hand, and keep my eyes closed. So there's the plan.
Wahine--I've just started Co Q 10 to offset the drain from the Tricor, need to give that another week or so to see if that helps, then maybe I'll try the B12. Taking prilosec twice a day does mean I don't absorb things as well, and that is a good one to keep and eye on. I've got some magnesium/calcium around, too, may need to start taking that again. I'm pretty sure the Ace bandage "tourniquets" didn't do much damage to your new legs, but you can still ask the doc. And often the doc injects numbing medication around the area he's working on, one med that's often used lasts about 24 hours, so what you are feeling is probably the local stuff wearing off. Hope you've got some good meds to take care of any leftover owies!!

Beanie--Glad the spider bite is getting better, but please keep a close eye on it for another week or so. Those things have a nasty habit of looking healed up only to break open again later, bigger than ever. I've seen a fair number of non-poisonous spider bites in my time and they can be pretty ugly without being life threatening. They get infected soooooo easily. Lots of soap and water, please!

Omigosh NM you have a LOT going on right now! Yes, you sure do need to get that upper endoscope asap! My DH has barretts also, and I think he is supposed to get the endoscopy every year? Thats what I am having done tomorrow, nearby, after going across town to see my vein dr first. Well shoot I would fit the 4F's too! SO nice having your nursing skills and experience to guide us along! I take the COQ10 also, plus fish oil, xtra D, etc. Now I just print out the list to take to appts. My DH takes TONS of supplements which fill a cupboard shelf, plus a large drawer, with extras filling a bathroom cabinet! Hope you can figure out how to get your energy back!!! Smart idea about the mole, I haven't thought of saying it has "changed"! Way to go!
Well, I actually had a nap...only do that when I am feeling sick....BUT its now PAU HANA time, so of course I am thinking the likker will get me well quicker! Anyone around to dwink wid????

Way cool! So now she is watching a 30 min show before bed, DH is on de puter, an I am gonna take my medicine and my wine to bed!! Woo Hoo! Have a full day tomorrow, starting with having the first set of stitches removed from de nips!! Yeah!!
NM, glad u are getting all checked out and up!! You said u were upping your D3 to 4,000 from 2,000; I take 6,000 FYI, and no meds that cause it to be low. Just sayin! Call me :-)

NM, I asked my DH to make sure, and he does have the endoscope every year, cause of Barretts. SO, you should go pronto to get yours done!!! Have you checked into Dexitlant? That is a new one my dr put me on (but I am waiting till after my endoscope tomorrow). It is supposed to HEAL your esophagus, so maybe you can look into it, okay?

OOPS bumped ya Lori, forgive me???? Here's a nice Duck Fart for ya. Yeah, here we go again, thinking alike! LOL. I am guessing that TF'd means Totally F'd up? Enjoy dat movie...looks like a good one. Did you know he (da Rock) grew up in Hawaii too? Bette Midler did too, and went to HS with my cousin, but my Dad remembers her mom having food stamps, and they lived in the projects. She sure came a long way!! NO, I know she is not in the movie, just mentioned that she grew up there too. OK....gotta leave in 20 min for vein dr....horrid sponge bath...sheesh!!!

Kathy, I thought you weren't suppose to drink after the twilight drugs? I am always told, no dwinking for 24 hours. One time, I think after my colonoscopy, I said the heck with it and had a couple beers. OMG............I got the worst headache!
